London Grammar should compose a film soundtrack. They are such geniuses at building atmosphere and sound design that I believe many of their songs would have similar power even with the lyrics removed. Their emotionally honest, confrontational-yet-not-antagonistic tracks often convey raw pain but rarely imply despair, because there's a sense of a healing and maturation taking place, guided by an angelic voice and ethereal synths that hold you together just when you feel like breaking.
It can imply despair and hope both, depends on the way you choose to see it, Depends on how you want it to be , Mindset! that’s what stoics believed and taught us. I don’t know whether im clear enough or not.
Talking about pain and scars, here is a quote from Rose Kennedy: "It has been said, ‘time heals all wounds.’ I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone."
Jan B Absolutely right, there is what I like to call `blue pain`.. exactly what you have described and at some point.. they can be accommodated and understood. Life is easier then.
Absolutely. Sometimes when I'm lost in thought and revisit those old wounds, I can still feel the pain in them. Although, I have grown to be a much stronger person, it's the lesson in the pain that kept me moving forward and that's how I know they are truly never healed. I have just learned how to live with them and protect them.
She is the most beautiful woman I've ever seen. Her voice is so haunting, yet so emotionally solemn.....I know God exists because he must have sat at the drawing board for weeks creating this one!
Im a guy who listens to thrash, death, metal core, prog, post-rock, hardcore, and all kinds of heavy music you can find at a daily basis... but holy damn do I love London Grammar! Her voice gets to my very core and makes me calm and at ease! This song isn't the exception! Thanks Hannah Reid for having the most beautiful voice on earth!
Its not about the genre. Its about the quality and uniqueness they can deserve. And yes, Hannah's voice is something beyond beautiful... I adore her. (btw, I also grew up on heavy music)
Guillermo Zamora dude the same here love death slash grind core black metal But oh my London grammar cuts deep into my very soul Hanna Reid is not only insainley beautiful but her voice man runs deep into my blood

Music is emotion. With this track London Gammar shows again an intense emotion. It is a serious heartbreaking sound. I have to confess I got a tear in my eye. Thank you London Grammar for this stunning song. You deserve to be played on the radio a lot more often.
I think celebrating new life and art are perfectly justifiable reasons to make your day brighter ^^ Also the names should totally be Bey-Z and Jayonce...
This group are amazing and have enormous talent. The vocals are just so beautiful and the music is so well mixed that they complement each other brilliantly.
Only just learnt about London Grammer through my daughter, I love listening to them she has the most beautiful voice, I can't believe I've never heard of them before.

If only more people are patient to watch/listen through the video and can feel music, then this video and beautifully made song wouldn't have been so underrated
If heaven has music London Grammar must be the house band! I am In love with every song... Her voice is an angelic hug that makes me feel warm. Thank you for existing beautiful people. ♥

Such a beautiful song with beautiful lyrics that reflect so much of what I've been through recently. Well done London Grammar, and here's to a prosperous music career.

Hannah has one I've the most pure voices ever heard. Still quite convinced she is part angel.

Talking about pain and scars, here is a quote from Rose Kennedy:

Holy fuck that would be amazing, i swear that womans voice is fucking surreal.
I was thinking she should cover Times Like These by Foo Fighters.

Hank Fuddle she should cover letter to elise by The Cure or These are the days of our lives - Queen
Have thought the same. A voice for this, and all time.
