About IDICBeer 40k - NECRONS and More
My Channel is all about Warhammer 40,000 and is mainly a Necron Channel. The content on it will include 40k Battle Reports, Army Lists, Conversions, Magnetising tutorials, Painting tutorials, 40k Tactics and lots of General Hobby Tips. I have been into the hobby since 2002 and my first and largest army is Necrons and I cover all things Necrons, including Necron tactics and Tips. I also have an Eldar army, Dark Eldar army, a Tyranid army and a Space Wolves army. I'm also working on a new Slaanesh based Emperor's Children army, but that is on hold atm, but I will get to it one day! I upload videos every week.

Awesome! My two favorite factions having a brawl. WP to the both of you! I hope Rich gets well soon. And i gotta say, i love these caramel Necron Dice. Too bad they cost a fortune. :(
I have two questions that came to my mind during the game:
1 Could you rapid ingress multiple units? So for example, use the cp on 1 Tyranid unit, and then the Lictors free Rapid Ingress ability?
2 And, can spore mines charge/then explode?

Definitely yes to the rapid ingress. The spore mines not sure nothing I can find says they can’t so probably a yes
@@CMWargames Wonderful thanks! Yes its weird, i didn´t even know where to look if a unit without a melee profil is eligible to charge. ^^
Tyranids are tricky to play eh`? I struggle with them too, they are such a puzzle. But they are still fun! What i would have done vs Nick is, a Haruspex into those Wraith. And then a Screamer killer into that pod (RI) and try to charge his Doomstalkers. Perhaps even try to tag two.
Would love to see a rematch.

Oh that’s coming all the detachments
In fact it might be green tide dread mob the war horde kult of speed da big hunt and bully boyz but is dependent on what models I have to get in to supplement a couple of those detachments. I had hoped dread mob first however, kills kans are ordered and I will see if I have enough bits left over to make my own out of my diabetes testing strip pots and meds pots,

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't that mission where it says you "can" draw up to three secondaries but you discard one. I'm pretty sure you only score off of two of the objectives. Also where is says "can draw" means that if you draw two that you can score you don't have to draw a third, but let's say you know you can only score one of the two, then you have the option to draw a third, yet still only score on two of them? Or have I been playing it wrong?
No this is the other one where you have three cards. Funnily enough we have drawn the mission you are thinking of for our next game
Having said that, we draw three and disregard one, rather than your way, I'll have to have another read as you might be correct
No it’s secret intel that you draw three discard one this one it states you have to have three active secondaries.
Now onto secret intel yes it’s pure choice if you draw aria denial and extend battle lines and you know you can score both you wouldn’t necessarily draw a third card to choose from. Secret intel is better you can discard ones you don’t want and not stuck this one if you draw three poor your stuck unless you discard for a cp or achieve them or at end of round discard one to gain a VP.

@@travishayton1183 no problem it’s always great to question and we don’t always get things completely right as we are human so when someone asks a question or points out wording on a rule we double check to see if we get it right or wrong because we want to be accurate in what we do.
You should slow roll FNP. For example you rolled. 4 FNP together when you had one Wraith on 1 wound. You failed 3 FNP and you Killer one Wraith and did 2 wounds to another. But you don't know wichbl attack had the FNP. So it was possible that the wounded Wraith recived 2dmg and the next one just 1. It does stack over time.
You are correct, I noticed that when editing the batrep 👍
May help especially if the model isn’t at full wounds helps you I suppose in long run

Bringing 3 max wraith squads against tyranids just feels kinda bad. As a necron player myself it’s just arguably not a fun experience for myself or the other player. I hope the meta shifts from this play style soon but gw refuses to do internal balancing on other units to make them playable so I do understand why it exists. They should have left the devwound strat but capped it at 6. At least then people might take immortals or warriors in canoptek or give warriors back their reanimation buff idk. 🤷
I hear ya, however it's the play that Richard wants to face, he loves competitive play and it's usually me on the other end of his horrible tourney lists ha ha
Hey no I enjoyed the game yes it’s tough and oppressive but I like that as a player it’s up to me to find ways of beating the top armies with the tyranids they are weaker than lots of armies. I have orks detachments planed for next few weeks none are tailored for this list but you will see a different type of game and maybe one where this list gets a run for its money.
Also nicks one hell of a player watch the other detachment bat reps he’s put up and he has scored 90+ points with most of them so I always knew with this one I was probably gong to lose. Nick either by design or luck didn’t kill whole units of Gants or gaunts meaning I couldn’t replace them with identical units swamping board. I had guessed before game I’d score 30-35 but I set myself a target of 60-70 to try and stretch myself. Secondly the reason for this list being oppressive isn’t its damage output it’s the 5++ the 5+ fnp and then reanimation stuff on top of that it’s just hard to chew through multi wound models with that profile especially if your opponent does well with the saves.if you can’t remove. A unit that has good oc then your going to struggle. It just means with this list if you have the means you have to focus fire everything into a unit of wraiths a turn to get rid and that includes melee but if you do that you ignore other stuff
A third thing is you can still make sure your opponent has an enjoyable experience by generally chatting having fun and by giving him pointers during game on how you might do something against that list
@@IDICBeer well fair play then especially if it’s what Richard wanted. Always nice to check with opponent if you can if your running a particularly nasty list.
