@@EluderRacing Thanks for replying. I recently came across your videos. I thought I was the last of my kind still focused on the first generation mavericks. I have a 2016 max turbo that I am still working on as well. Have not done any mods to power terrain as of yet. I started with suspension, A arms as my stock ones bent, gusset kit , lighting and seat heaters. Keeping the wife comfortable is always a good thing.

Great video! Do you know if the Maptuner X will allow you to add a brand new key to the vehicle? I want to buy a new replacement key from Amazon, then program it to the performance key for my vehicle. I have a Maverick X3 though, so I don't know if the process is the same. Thanks!
Hello thanks for the kind words. To be 100% honest I’m not sure for the X3 on my maverick yes you can program a new key. I personally have bought a key off of eBay and programmed it. I have to believe it will work for your maverick also since it’s a core feature for the maptunerX

I would say yes BUDS is diagnostic only where as maptuner X will do performance tunes also

yes it can I purchased new keys and programed them for spares .

@Dezarea Moles unfortunately that is one thing it won’t do. But any can-am dealer should be able to change it and normally they don’t charge for it.
Can use a blank key and program it to the cam am

Josh Stone key is fully functional recognized by ECU can be changed back anytime. This is a true reprogramming of the key and it’s not replacing another key so you are not loosing one key for another if that makes sense

How did you get all the extras on the map tuner x?
depends if its a older version or current version. they are features that can be turned on not sure on cost it will depend on where you bought yours.
Mine says performance key, but only goes 60kmh?
If you have another key I would try that as a comparison. Also make sure to have on seatbelt as it will limit top speed
I have a black key and grey key, both say performance but only go 60kmh. I dont have seatbelts on my can am
Can you program one that doesnt have the chip in it i bought one and a igniton but the ingiton switch dont work i put the original one on and it just turns on but doesnt start says unrecognizable key
Yes you can make duplicate keys I purchased keys off of eBay and made several extra keys

Yes the maptuner x will program blank keys

@@theogsamurai4151 when maptuner is hooked up it will prompt you too press the start button which wakes the computer it walks you through the whole process very easy to do!

Gildardo Cota if you have a maptuner x you can program keys if not your only other option is to take it into a dealer and have them program a key for you.

Jose Rodriguez best place to get the maptuner is from EVO evolution power sports. They are online and even sell on eBay
@@EluderRacing will the maptuner x work on my 2017 Can-AM Renegade 570. I lost the keys and have purchased a new key however it would need to be programmed to work. The dealer wants to charge me $150 to program the key to my ATV which I think is absolutely absurd after seeing how it literally looks like it would take 2 minutes to do. Please any assistance is greatly appreciated, thank you for your time.
Dana Moyer hello to answer your question the maptuner x should be able to work on your Atv as far as I know it works on all of can-am’s vehicles one thing you may not know is the maptuner x is very expensive so unless you plan on doing other upgrades to your Atv it would be much cheaper to just pay the $150.00 for the key. If you have big plans then I would highly recommended buying it.
