Having bought my first RC4WD when they first started (Diablo), and a new TF2, I love the progress! I am a huge Tamiya fan with OG Bruiser, Newer Bruiser, and 5 High Lifts... I am a fan! My TF2 has many mods, and I will continue to upgrade with many parts, including AMPRO parts!!!! Loved the video!!!!!
Don't want to be rude, but giving rc4wd credit for progress is laughable. The tf2 is nearly 15 years old and the tf3 they released 2 years ago was a joke and a source for memes in the crawler/scaler scene so they went back to the tf2. Seriously, rcwd is a laughing stock for continuously releasing the tf2 with no updates and just another body over and over.
Hey there, while I think you are spot on in that the TF2 is ancient and the TF3 is best forgotten, it is still a solid platform and while they have been known for just re-sprays, I covered this mainly for the fact that they did totally update the body with the engine bay and best working hood I have seen from them, they FINALLY installed usable leaf springs, the axles are re-cast where they used to break all the time and the did add the interior set that used to not come with the old Mojave. Is this the correct path? Yes. Can they keep doing this? No.
@@AsurasWrath164 I hear ya, But I don't compare RC4WD to Axial and Traxxas. RC4WD are sticking true to scale design/function. They are some of the most scale rigs on the market. There is only so much they can do to "progress" and stay scale. It's a love/hate thing I guess. But you have to admit, the platform of the TF2 is tried and true (even through it's issues), and it allows you to customize until your hearts content, or keep it stock and still looking good. I do with they'd come out with some Fords, though. :)
@@AMPROEngineering yeah, it’s a ploy to get us to spend money. 😂 But at least they are including lights, interior, and engines bays now. That’s a plus!
Thanks for putting this video together, I really enjoyed it. I recently purchased the 4Runner - do you have a body mount system that would fit it? I hate removing the screws to get to the battery!!!!
First off, your truck does not look like It has 650000 miles. It looks almost showroom quality, She is a gem. Second ,thanks for the video shout out. It was all axle
Honestly, it is a good one to start with. I have several and love them. Please note that these are trail trucks. People treat them like hardcore crawlers and beat the hell out of them and complain that they break. Yes, they indeed will if you treat them in a way they are not intended to be treated.
I have the Fusion Pro in my TF2 Xtra Cab. I had to 'gently' sand with a dremel, but it fit with very little sanding. I love the Fusion Pro!!!!! I only run 2S, and it has plenty of punch and speed when I need it.
I know I love that shell. It's on the AMPro YouMagine for home prints. There is a link in the description. We are working on a source for Prints if you do not have a printer.
you are spot on. Most of the week was windy but at one point, tents were flying, there was rain and everything was a mess! That's the desert for you! Hahaha
This truck is just awesome! Im really wanting one of these for my scale truck collection. Definitely want the blue paint scheme.
For me, I really enjoyed the setup and the overall truck.

Hi Michael, I too am a huge fan of RC4WD and it was nice to see that this was not just a paint job.

@10:11 RC4WD does make that part, the tucked skid. Just sold separately.
I kinna thought they did. I was really surprised that this is an option part honestly.

Nice review!
Thank you!
Your intro music sounds like the theme music to the TV show threes company... lol Toyota truck, really nice.
ahahah! I never noticed that!
The detail on this is perfect. Makes it even better by having the real thing 👍
Yes it is one of the best I have seen from them. Wow you have a 1:1 in this scheme!? Awesome!
Ya that wind storm was not good thankfully the rest of the weekend was awesome.👍
Yeesh...man that friday with the rain was a mess! I am glad I had some 10" spikes holding down the tent and canopy!
Awesome off-roading! That's a cool truck!👍💯👍👍
I really liked it. For me, it was the best out of the box truck I have seen from RC4WD.
Nice to see you at Proline and that topper is mint !!!!!
Oh thank you!

Man....I dont have any for the 4runner! I just asked a few people I know so I can get my hands on one to make it!
@@AMPROEngineering Thank you! I'll keep an eye out for any progress.

HAHAHAAHAH! Well I did re-do the interior but the outside does not have one matching panel. I also shout you out in the next video!
They look so good it maybe my first RC4WD.

Do the Hobbywing Fusions fit in these trucks?

shorter spacers on the gearbox brings the motor back a few mm so no sanding required .9mm spacers .
Chris, I just installed mine and Michael Anderson here has beat me to the punch. He is correct. 2S is all you need.
If they do a price drop around the holidays, I'll probably get one. Can't justify the price as it is now though.
Yeah it is one of the most costly RTR hilux's they have made but as I mentioned, for me, it has been the best one I have used RTR.
Sweet
I enjoyed this truck for sure.
Omg I need that camper. Where can I buy??

Sounds like a day, you need 2 chains the dog down ( Aussie slang ,for windy)
you are spot on. Most of the week was windy but at one point, tents were flying, there was rain and everything was a mess! That's the desert for you! Hahaha
Waste of money...do not buy.
Love how you are not providing evidence to your statement.
I just now saw the price, at most I would pay 300.
I dont know that any of these RTR's have ever been 300 or less. RC4WD cars have always been pricey. Maybe the kits but even those are pushing 400.
If the body would have been all blue without those ugly stripes, I would consider one. to me, those stripes and the 2 tones ruin that truck.
They went with a very popular factory option for the truck. Personally, I never run RTR bodies since I go more unique.
