"Why use any pacts of punishment (heat)?"
We only take pacts that only matter if you actually get hit (i.e. 100% extra enemy damage) and that's so that Erebus gates can be an option through Asphodel.
"How are you dealing so much damage?"
Aspect of Hestia gives you a large bonus to damage and range upon manual reload on the first shot. Fiery Presence makes the numbers look extra big at the start (+75% damage to enemies on first hit).
"Why the ruleset?"
We've completed a "no damage" run before that used a lot of Athena ( • ZERO DAMAGE TAKEN RUN ... ) so the rules listed seemed to be the next logical step.
"What's the hardest part? Any strategies?"
Long range weapons like Hestia, Guan Yu's special, maybe some bow stuff work best. Styx is probably the hardest/scariest because the compact rooms can easily get you with the lasers or small rats, after that Heroes and Hades are equally difficult I think.
"Why Than's keepsake?"
Big damage boost by the end, helps us scale without relying on getting very specific boons. Just makes sense for this run and is fun too.

He took a risk by going into Erebus and got rewarded generously by our boi Hermes. Erebus gates are scary because even if you go into them in Asphodel enemies are random. There can be Elysium witches, chariots and stuff.

@@threebees7785 But you enter Chaos wayy more than 3x as often as Surface (at least, if you're bad at video games like me)
@@threebees7785 Pretty sure that it's just that you can't see fish in Chaos if you saw one the last 5 times you went to Chaos (unless you have the Poseidon legendary boon). Given that it's only a 7% chance of encountering a fish in Chaos anyway, it's fairly unlikely that you would happen to roll the 7% chance in the 5 times it doesn't let you roll.
@@threebees7785 Is it possible to cheat this by buying the two Charon well items that ensure a chaos gate and fishing spot will appear ASAP? (would probably need to be in Tartarus too, to lessen the chance of the fish appearing in the normal room)
Knowing how this ends thanks to the thumbnail does not make it ANY less stressful to watch

@@asgasdg09a8sd I just watched again in 0.25x and HOLY SHIT that was even crazier than it looks.
He *barely* misses the skull wave at the end of his second dash. His third dash activates just before the beam would have hit. His third and fourth dashes stop juuust shy of the beams. Fifth/final dash gets him out.

Re: Rocket Bomb. I had it last night with Cluster Bomb and Poseidon on it (Zeus on attack with Duo boon-lightning hit on knock away) and it absolutely cleaned up Elysium and Styx with very little effort.

Man I took a nap right after watching that video, and had a dream where I was facing Hades in my own house in a strange VR mode. The fight was quite easy as I could dodge everything thanks to your video. I had to pause the fight for a few minutes for whatever reason, when I came back he was sitting on the couch and stood up, his health bar recovering fully for a completely new round, where he would wield a giant chainsaw !! lol
It turned quite into a nightmare, I blocked him with my controller over my head, but the force was so much I couldn't use any attack anymore, just had to wait untill he would slice through the controller and split my head in two :-(
