Thanks James for all the call outs for product that you have found helpful. I second those too as I use them all. Thanks for your channel and Happy Thanksgiving.
Great video James. I have followed your instructional videos for pulled pork and brisket with fantastic results. Thanks for sharing your wisdom, expertise and experience. It is greatly appreciated. Do you have a recommendation for a rotisserie for the BGE? Thanks.
in canada the Egg rotisserie is still for sale but i don't see it on the US site ... the JoeTisserie fits the large and XL egg no issue, i tested both and had no problem using it
@ I’m in Ottawa so I guess both are an option then. I have a large BGE, of the two you recommended, which would you get…I trust your judgement. Thanks James.
New to the egg family, pickup a 18" grill, I think its a large. I am thinking of getting a cover for a large egg it looks like they are 31" wide, will this cover work if I get side tables and they arefolded down?
What size of stone do you recommend purchasing to make the double indirect method work with the spider rack? I have the platesetter, but will be purchasing the spider and stones. I live in Canada so getting Ceramic Grill Store stuff will be the next challenge. Thanks!
Many ways to go double indirect. Platesetter and a …. Drip tray,,,,cooking surface,,,,,, cast iron pot,,,,,, Or does it need to be. Ceramic plus ceramic. Just sucks to clean a cooking surface after 12 hours of smoke, But. Aluminum foil. Hum
Answer is just a question. What is the best ceramic for cooking (add meat). Or size of cook. They’re all great. Or yes you need 2 to have all meats covered
I will say with more experience on multiple brands they all cook very similar out of the box (Weber, Goldens, BGE, KJ, Primo, SNS, Vision) etc... so it comes down to (1) warranty (BGE and KJ and Primo all comparable) (2) support from the brand/dealer (3) accessories and versatility. In the past KJ pulled ahead on the accessories / versatility (i.e. divide and conquer rack vs. the platesetter and a cooking grid) but thats a gap thats been fixed by BGE for the most part has an answer for most everything save for the $20 CGS ring i needed to buy separately to match the double indirect setup i can do out of the box on my KJ. The primo i was very excited about, and its a good grill... but the versatility inside is not comparable to bge or kj. the vent settings are also more fussy as it has three openings vs. 1 or 2 which makes the slightest movement 3x more impactful on the temp change so going from 250f to 270f is about the smallest move you can manage with the gentlest tap you can manage with your dexterity and i can't help but think of the saying "you should never meet your hero's" whenever i use the primo. its american made, good quality excluding the dome temp gauge which is sub par for this price point and it can turn out comparable food but it didn't do anything to make life easier ... in many ways the novel shape makes some things more difficult
BGE has paid $0 for this video or any other video on my channel. My audience has kamados of all brands and this is accessories that work for each model. Get it’s easy to be lazy and make crap up… do better.

@ thank you, I’ll email Tom and see if they can. Keep up the great content
@@SmokingDadBBQ thank you for your help James, unfortunately Tom won't ship overseas
What is your number 1 go to ceramic grill-- BGE,KJ classic 3. Or Primo xl400?

This question may not fit here, but have you tested double indirect with BGE?
Yes I have. This video shows clips of the setup from an upcoming video as well as a pdf summary showing the steps for large and XL eggs
@ thank you James. You are my “go to guy”. I’ve learned so much from your videos.
More paid for BGE content after previously waxing lyrical about how KJ is miles ahead. SDBBQ channel is just a paid for advertisement now.
