My wife is definitely the paint guru in our home. I'll build it and she'll paint it .. my patience for good painting is not there - "we" went with SW7029 Agreeable Gray for the walls and SW7006 Extra White for the baseboards in our new build ... we had a slight advantage. My niece just built her home and we were able to see the color on a couple walls she had painted. I'm sure after we are in the home for a while, it will be re-painting time again .. our daughter's room first I'm told! ☺ Thanks for sharing!
I bought a spec house that has upgraded walls to Agreeable Gray. It’s nice but I would have much preferred the standard one which is Alabaster. I love creamy white walls!
Alabaster is SUCH a great whole house color, absolutely lovely. Agreeable gray has definitely been well done in a lot of spaces I’ve seen though. Interesting that that’s the go-to for upgraded!
Hey Nicole. I had a video on paint as well and one suggestion for you would be to paint your trim and ceilings the same colour that you painted your walls. It may take that stark yellowness away so there’s no contrast. It will also expand your space and make your ceilings appear higher! Hope you figure it out and if you can check out my paint video😊
Hi Nicole! What is the color you chose for your walls? I have just narrowed down my selections but have also been nervous about it leaning too yellow, especially up to white cabinets!
We haven't closed on the house yet (3 days!) so I haven't been able to see the colors on the walls themselves yet. I'm thinking it will be either Simply White or White Dove (or some lightened version of White Dove or Swiss Coffee). What colors are you looking at?
@@katiewillis5501 omg of course, I completely read your question wrong. It was McCormick Paint's Cool Platinum (which is somehow a warm yellow-beige? Strange name!) Translucent Silk is beautiful! It leans heavier into red than the other primary colors so I doubt it would show yellow, but I would definitely still patch test

I hear you, it’s so easy to do a bad paint job (as I’ve proven to myself too many times in the past!).
That color scheme sounds great though!

Such a great point that I completely forgot to mention! I’m definitely a huge fan of that look, thank you for bringing that up
