George, your videos are ones I always look forward to watching. The length, your narration and humor all play a role. Just wanted you to know you are doing some good work in my book and it’s appreciated.
Ditto to all the above. I’m a newbie with everything to learn, so really enjoy seeing the care you take with details. I think that makes all the difference with the finished look and it’s the way I want my layout to appear (when I finally make some space to get on with it!). Keep up the good videos. PS. Are you sponsored by Hoover? Teehee!
Super bit of grass laying, a joy to watch as always. I can still remember walking up the path by the incline and look forward to seeing the finished layout.
Morning George. Superb progress. The fallen leaves around the headshunt are looking particularly good under closeup conditions. The hairspray trick is one which was common back when 1st gen DMMUs plied the Cambrian system ... haven't seen it used in many moons. IIRC, there were concerns about flammability with the stuff available back then, but I'm guessing blazing Barnets are out of fashion these days. I REALLY need to attend a spray painting workshop ... the whole idea terrifies me and painting is far and away the worst aspect of my own distinctly limited "skillset" (for want of a better word!).
Cheers. Some people are suggesting actual scenic sprays..But they’re about £11 more per can, and I can imagine I need the finish any stronger than it is with hairspray
No, that’s a piece of demonstration track that the railway has put in place to show how it would have gone up the incline. Not my idea - I’m just modelling what’s there!
Well I hope my lay out looks as good as yours when I get round to it gets all the Bachmann NG7 so another engine shed Alice more flatbed and coal and slate wagons then slate workers and a few other things from model u there is one bit I would like to to not shure how am going to do as yet as am totally new to putting something like this together
@GWilliamsonModels the NG7 loco is going take a bit of getting used to as a hand break function on it loco will no move if it's applied I have una the real is well I seen her tank at the slate qurry in north Wales a few months back I don't she be running again

I appreciate that, cheers for letting me know, I’ll try and keep it up
NIce video, colours are so subtle which makes it look real, love the texture on texture process. Thanks George for another fine scenery video!
Cheers mate, glad you’re liking the look of it
Brilliant job on this layout, superb
Cheers

Don't worry George your senic videos are most helpful! Might get me to build my own layout one day.
I hope you do

Amazing to hear, best of luck!
I enjoyed some actual layout progress. Your Friday morning videos continue to inspire, thank-you.
They’ll be more layout progress over the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned
The colours are looking great, very autumnal 👍🏻
Cheers, good to know it’s coming across to viewers
I love a good incline, especially a pretty one!
Same! Cheers

Cheers mate, it’s coming on slowly
@@GWilliamsonModels yea it is also i have always wondered if you get annoyed that the Bachmann peter Sam doesn't have accurate valve gear?
Great video, as always, George 👍
Instead of hairspray, can I recommend you use WWS Tree & Bush foliage spray?
I love WWS products, but tend to use hairspray as it’s about £11 cheaper per can
How fast was MI6 at your door when they found out you didn't call it the vacuum a "Hoover"?
If I’m going down, it won’t be for calling a vacuum a hoover
Are you building a climbing switchback layout? Or is this meant to look like abandoned rail?
No, that’s a piece of demonstration track that the railway has put in place to show how it would have gone up the incline. Not my idea - I’m just modelling what’s there!
