I wanted to thank you for the time you spent doing all these videos. I passed my last exam today…barely but I passed. My opinion is that the real exam is harder than not just this questions but the GED prep as well. However, this videos have a lot of the same type of questions that were on my Science test. Good luck to everyone that is taking their GED and for those who are thinking about taking it, I encourage you to do so, it’s not easy but with discipline and commitment it can be done. I am a 47 year old spanish speaker and I did it! Anyone can do it!

Hi, thank you for watching and sorry that this was confusing for you. I don't see an error here. I could be wrong, but I'm guessing that the confusion is coming from the fact that we're subtracting a negative. If we were just doing 8700-452.1, I would agree with you that we need to subtract and not add. However, we're doing 8700 minus negative 452.1. Subtracting a negative is the same as adding a positive number, which I mentioned around 26:58. This is why I added 8700 and 452.1. Again, thank you for watching. I'm a little confused on the question The data in the table below represenets the highest daily tempratures in Championsburgh measured over a 6 day period. Everywhere I go online that sites how to complete this problem that you have to find the mean which is the average of all the numbers present. I come up with 26.166 every time but you calculated the two middle numbers instead of all the numbers. Why is that and how do you approach odd numbered questions? Do you do 3 or why don't you do all the numbers?
Hi, thank you for watching and thank you for the question. The question you're asking about, which starts at bout 21:29, is asking you to find the median, not the mean. I'm wondering if this is where the confusion may be coming from? To find the median when you have an even number of numbers in the number set, you must put them in order from smallest to largest and take the average of the 2 numbers in the middle. In other words, after you've ordered the numbers, you must add the two middle numbers up and divide by 2. If this doesn't clear up your question, please let me know and I'm happy to explain further. The practice questions in my videos are meant to help test-takers learn the test material and get some practice answering questions. Over the years of making videos, I've heard some people say my questions are similar to those on the real test in difficulty. On the other hand, I've heard people say my questions are easier. At the end of the day, I try my best to make videos to help people pass the GED, but unfortunately, there's no guaranteed way to know exactly what types of questions will be on your test when you take it, as there are different versions of the test. I've conducted polling in the past on my channel to try to better understand how test real test compares to test-takers' expectations. If you're interested, I have the polls posted on my community tab, but I'll summarize the results below. On my math poll, I got 433 votes. 51% said math was harder than expected, 29% said it was about what they expected, and 21% said it was easier than they expected. On my RLA poll, I got 377 votes. 30% said RLA was harder than expected, 45% said it was about the difficulty they expected, and 25% said RLA was easier than they expected. On my social studies poll, I got 431 votes. 25% said social studies was harder than expected, 29% said social studies was about what they expected, and 45% said it was easier. On my science poll, I got 339 votes. 24% said it was harder than expected, 47% said it was about what they expected, and 29% said it was easier. What I always say is to use my videos to learn from and use the GED Ready practice tests to help you see if you're ready to take the real test.
