Heyo, looks like this is showing up in peoples' recommendations again! I've been reading everyone's comments, and it's really heartwarming to see this little clip I recorded over 17 years ago is bringing back so many memories for Drake & Josh fans. I thought I'd share a couple of my own memories regarding this tape... Basically, to my recollection, this was a weeklong thing on U-Pick Live to promote Drake & Josh -- barely a month after it had premiered! I recall the host segments playing out like they usually did with Drake, Josh, and Miranda at the helm. In this particular segment, Drake mentions set tours, behind the scenes watchamahoos, and whatnot-- I remember none of what that was like unfortunately. In my ongoing quest to track down and preserve as much of Nick's legacy content as possible, the remaining "Drake & Josh Pick" host segments are pretty high up on my "most wanted" list... On a more personal note, this recording has its own significance to me -- it's the second time I ever watched the show, and my first time taping it! I remember watching this with my mom as it aired, and it became somewhat of a regular thing of ours to watch Drake & Josh each week whenever there was a new episode. it's amazing how much nostalgia one VHS recording can evoke, isn't it?
Bro, things like this is what makes me love Nick, CN and other “cartoon channels” so much. It’s not just about entertainment, it’s the kind of content you can watch with your family and spend quality time together. The memories of watching my favourite shows with others, man... It’s priceless.

I know right. I've been watching all these old snack commercials from the early 2000s today took me back so much! Remember mighty kids meals at burger king and Trix yogurt commercial and Rits Bits Cheese sandwiches and the old website Mamamamedia that was for kids to just play games on. I miss my era so much and now I'm showing everything I used to watch and play to my step kids.
@minty_ Thesaurus01 9/11 was horrific but it did bring the country together in a way that hadn't been seen in a very long time and hasn't been seen since. The overseas wars on the other hand didn't have any impact on pop culture in the early 2000s, which is what this comment was reminiscing about. It's safe to say that everyone watching and commenting on this video who's old enough to remember misses day-to-day life back then.
I think the promo would have been cute if all three were mildly "in-character", like how Josh is. It also would have been cute if Drake just admitted he almost called Miranda "Megan".
Josh kinda has a natural dorky charm in real life. That translates well to the screen and in situations that would seem awkward for some he can fit in perfectly. Lets be honest theres no natural way to do a between shows bump like this but Josh seems so natural anyway. Because of that dorky charisma. He seems at home in the somewhat goofy nature he has during this and if you've seen some of his social media posts he is just kinda like that naturally.
I knooow 😭 This is why physical preservation of media is ABSOLUTELY important & necessary. DVD’s, Blu-Ray’s, etc are all needed. In gaming you have all these companies trying to go digital & streaming only and it’s only a sign of bad things to come if they get their way.
@@ankurbhaskar4634 Can you blame them? I love collecting games growing up physically, but I can't deny that it's far more convenient to have digital copies as they don't take up physical space. Not to mention, it costs a lot more money to produce physical copies. I don't think companies are necessarily trying to destroy evidence of these shows, games, etc.'s existence. It's just what makes the most business sense. Not to mention, a digital only console costs less to make since it only needs a hard drive to store the data rather than disc drive to read disks, etc.

Now Nickelodeon airs SpongeBob, Loud House, and crappy sitcoms over and over and over on loop basically. And the whole Nickelodeon vibe just has no soul anymore. Just more like a business. Depressing.
Back in the 2000s I used to always think of decades in the 20th century as being X0 number of years ago, where X was the number of decades away from the year 2000. Even now I still find myself falling into that line of thinking occasionally.

Anywhere from 1990-2012 were the golden years. This world has been fucked up since 2013 and gotten worse since 2020. Hopefully this world would come to an end
