G'day, Great podcasts.....Mikey, you need to address the camera much more often, anyway, have any of you guys ever witnessed muddies on the migration.... Had a few Rums, so hope this makes sense... no one ever believed me and the bloke I was with was the greatest liar known to mankind ,at least in Yeppoon, where this happened. Went to Corio Bay ,north of Yeppoon fishing, got caught on the run out tide and stuck for the night. at picanny dawn 4 smaller creeks to the south, were choked with hundreds and If not thousands of muddies moving "en masse" in collumns,I assume, to the main channel. The tide was on the run in, just..We had a 16 foot centre console tinnie and with the the emergency oars began flipping crabs into the boat....After getting back to the ramp, "Filthy" Phil skippered perched in a squat on top of the controls and me in the water holding on to the transom for the trip..We took home, after sorting them, 132 legal bucks which we sold at the Pacific Hotel .$7 per crab/ $12 for 2...The year was1982 ....I swear this true.
