I don’t know much about Missouri water temperature, but that water temperature does sound pretty warm. Here in a Kentucky the lake water temperatures are normal for the early fall. Fish activity is also normal.

I noticed it this year in Oregon. I was absolutely shocked when i was out on the boat on a pretty nice hot day and stuck my hand in the water. Expecting a cool feeling since we were so close to the pacific ocean, its always fairly cool. Felt like hot tub water that had been sitting for a while. Just not cold at all and more warm than anything. Its scary.

Its not good for the fish though. Its not good for us. Theres a chain effect from these kinds of things. Here in the winter last year it didnt get cold enough to freeze all the bug eggs and we're just brutalized with more mosquitis and beetle/bugs than i've ever seen in 18 years living here. So yeah we think "Heck yeah its not freezing for 3 months anymore!" but really we need the rain and snow for so many things, not to mention river levels.

Every now and then we have a summer that just doesn’t want to let go. It’s not because of man made global warming, it’s because of the SUN. Increased solar activity can affect seasonal timing more than anything man may do. Even still, the middle of October is 3 weeks into Fall. It’s been a hot summer across the middle part of the country. Warmer water temps are normal.

You’re correct Robert. The planet Neptune appears to be having climate change also. Cloud cover increases and decreases in an 11 year cycle, coinciding withe the 11 year cycle of of solar activity. I’m pretty sure this doesn’t happen due to humans.

True. Naturally occurring got and cold spells occur. BUT, what makes you think humans aren't causing, or adding to it this time? Historical geological data shows the difference between this cycle and previous cycles and how this one coincides with industry. Also, we're clearing having negative impacts on the planet's overall health - so why would someone think we weren't affecting the climate along with things like air, water and soil quality?

Saw surface temperatures on Grand Lake this past weekend from 78 - 80 degrees. Sunday morning my buddy and I found schools of largemouth bass knocking shade schools to pieces. Caught over 20 fish,
.75 - 2 lbs in about 3 hours of fishing. Mostly on topwater, but when the shade schools broke up, we'd hang them on shade colored crankbaits, then switch back to topwater when they'd start busting the shade schools again.
