they got to 15:45 into this skeleton crew pod before Van started talkin crazy lmfao! the comedic timing is so good. even when i don't give a damn about the shows they're covering, this sh*t is so listenable because of goofyness like that.
Just got to the point of the podcast where Van is saying he’d take his hat off to protect Boseman from an owl attacking. My same thoughts. I’m a rural mail carrier and I wear high boots every day I work just in case I walk up to someone’s house and they have a little ankle biter that hates me. I will put these boots to use to protect myself. And Van will use his hat to protect himself and Boseman. I love dogs…but goddamn they hate mail carriers. I give them treats and try to befriend all of them on my route. But there are some that just don’t fuck with us no matter what.
I'm 52 and the show is not too young for me. Love it. There is plenty of intrigue for the wider universe. It has plenty of content for adults, people who don't feel it have lost touch with their inner child.
Omg your pitch for an underground Coruscant series with force wielding strippers and spice runners! 😮 I guess I can see how you got there because what does happen when there is a force user in a poor family, and that family needs you a make money, you can’t just abandon your 5 brothers and sisters and become a Jedi while they starve. So your idea of what happens to the force users who don’t leave their slave moms or 5 siblings to live in some fancy Jedi school is pretty good. Coruscant has always been super fascinating to me. Anyway I’m glad that most of you are enjoying Skeleton Crew! I am too. I was happy that the last episodes focused on Neel.
Messiah is the last Dune movie we'll get from Denis. They get too philosophical and too into the lore after that. Even Messiah is a bit of "how is he going to make a good movie out of this?"
I don’t know how or why they started talking about fighting owls or how many owls they think they can box but u gotta be high to have that conversation or u r just weird.
Spoiler alert Wim Dad and Fern's Mom are party of the crew that SM-33 worked with and game to At Attin with. I'm exchange for being allowed to stay, they were given lives on the dream planet.
What's the point in shutting down a conversation about what you think is up with At-Attin? Isn't that the point of reacting to stuff that excites most of the people listening? Could've had a conversation about where the show might be going & ended up with another critique of something most people seem to be genuinely enjoying
I've loved all the kids except for Wim. He reaches a point where his complete ignorance of consequences it upsets me every episode. Neel is the goat though
On this one, I have to say I agree with Charles. I don’t think “what is AT ATTIN?” is a reveal I care about enough to fully enjoy sitting through the non-Neel pluck. The breadcrumbs they’ve given thru 4 episodes have been too small to make me significantly more invested in that mystery. A show that centered the socio-political conspiracy story of the 9 hidden planets and their differing fates WOULD be really compelling. But all that is just background levers to get these kids from point A to B on the journey back home to discover who Oz is behind the curtain, and if there really is any treasure.
Neel demonstrating that all you need to have ultimate rizz is to just be kind & real. Dude is gonna be a player when he's older.
Van with the Minty PSA, only to get deep shadow protocoled is peak midnight boys
Neel gonna show a generation of shy kids that women see kindness as sexy. Hopefully we get less incels salute to you SW
Gotta respect how Van always dives into the source material of projects he's interested in, don't sleep on how he's locked in on Leto II and Rhaegar😂

Bruh the dodger hat/leopard print combo screams west coast newb
Neil just trying to get his trunk wet 😅
Back to back deep shadow protocols 😂😂😂
This show is great and I’m so grateful yall are covering it because this is what I tune in for lol
Charles is feeling this shit, hes playing hard to get
Van said he would use the hat against an owl made me think of him as Kung Lao in Mortal Kombat
43:00 this is the most unhinged SW take ever😂😂😂
The deep shadow protocol keeping yall from the real subscriber numbers
They can just cut it and not glorify that they blocked something.

For once I’m good with the deep shadow protocol 👍🏾
Yeah we unfortunately have to get the gist 🫣😬🫨
charles is NOT taking 2 or 3 owls they will tear him up
Idk how we got on the subject but this is fantastic conversation

Van legit is describing something just like that Curb episode where LD puts the condom on inside out
Messiah is the last Dune movie we'll get from Denis. They get too philosophical and too into the lore after that. Even Messiah is a bit of "how is he going to make a good movie out of this?"
not by rewriting the parts so much again lol. he already lost a lot of the first book in the duology of lingering shots burning up run time
I agree (God Emperor is truly unfilmable, it's barely readable tbh) but part of me would really like to see Miles Tegg go nuclear
*does the spoiler warning after already spoiling the dune books* (I'm still reading the first one)
Neel threw that rock like Skenes tho, that ish was kind of hard to believe
Is Neel the Samwise Gamgee of a new era?!?
Yo come on why you guys spoiling Dune Messiah, damn.
I don’t know how or why they started talking about fighting owls or how many owls they think they can box but u gotta be high to have that conversation or u r just weird.
Kermie the frog back there?
idk what happened Steve, but I hope you good bro.
YOU BETTER BE GLAD lol get him steve
Spoiler alert

I think wim is gonna be redeemed by shows end. It started with him seeing fern crack. I want a neel spin off for real tho
Kids show and were talking about condoms bruh lock in 😂
