Been a sub of VRF and watch REVY regularily. However, just stumbled upon your channel. Love your videos and accompanying commentary. I'll be playing catch-up to view your other videos. Thank you!
Once again Tony awesome, cant get enough of this part of th e world, cant wait to visit Rogers pass ,a trip i promised myself , that one day i will forfill.
Hey Clive, the whole area is amazing. Multiple free ferries including the worlds longest free ferry from Kootenay Bay to Balfour. Multiple rail trails for hiking/cycling. Beautiful lakes and lots of Hot Springs to visit. The best motorcycle roads in the world imo. National Parks. Come for a visit.
I’m speechless. I can’t describe how I love this scene of BC Tony. One day I will be able to see it in real life. But who knows when… And that day you filmed in Revelstoke. It was too late for me to see that. 2 am for me.
Hello Tony, this video and our Kimbasket video sure capture the beauty and ruggedness of railroading thought the Roger Pass. Prefect camera control, I was watching closely as you panned the slope to the south looking for the old microwave reflector, grown in I suppose. Add to your bucket list to redo this video and the Kimbasket one in winter. Thanks for the memories, oh not sue if still there but the stone abutments from the old bridge are just to the left of that bridge.
Love that area of BC, another area I wish I could get back to. Wonderful drone work in the Illecillewaet portion, certainly shows off the magnificence of BC.
Looking at your videos from the trip and thinking, as you are showing the incredibly clear skies, about how different it would have looked had you gone a little later. You were fortunate to have been there prior to the forest fires starting. Enjoying your trip videos, they are great. Thank you.
I went to school with a boy that lived in Glacier, so we are talking a few years ago. He would come into Revelstoke by train Sunday night and go home the same way Friday afternoon. His father worked for CP in Glacier. You may want to check into the old hydro power station on the Illecillewaet River in Revelstoke. I believe it was built by CP to power their round house.
Thanks, Tony - another great vid. Have you considered filming along the old PGE/BC Rail route from North Vancouver to Squamish to Prince George? Some great scenery along there. I don’t think it’s a heavily used RR but some trains still run, including, I think, the Rocky Mtn’eer in some years.
@@TonyVRailfanning Understandable for not flying with people around. I have been there a couple times when only one or two are there about 5 years ago. Hmm, I should go back soon, it has been a while.
Wonderful video. Enjoyed the first part drone footage. Your shots are very imaginative. You also show great courage flying your drone . I haven’t been able to do that with any of my drones since i had a flyaway at minus 15C. Keep up the great photography. I do find the ding ding sound of road xings a bit tiresome.
Tony, you produce great videos for railfans. Have you considered marketing your vids as a package for viewing on TV in places where TH-cam is not available or the internet quality is poor? Places like China come to mind. TH-cam is blocked here, so very few people get to see your vids or might not even know how to find them if they were interested. It would be an ideal place to sell your products as a package for viewing on Chinese TV channels. Other locations might be Pakistan, India, Indonesia, etc. You might have to do some editing and perhaps a lot of marketing, but there might be some money to be made. Cheers and good luck!

Welcome aboard Crystal! I hope you enjoy them. These areas through the mountains around Revelstoke are spectacular

Thanks Clive, It truly is a beautiful place. Its still a 4hr drive for me to reach but well worth it.

Thanks Douglas, I very much enjoyed visiting these spots. Winter shots would be amazing but I wonder how accessible the roads are?

Thank you Mama Bear
Great scenes along the river. Fun to give the Revelstoke folks a shot of their crossing. Keep up the good work.
Your welcome, glad you enjoyed it

Your welcome rtdg, Ya it was amazing to be there during the calm. It’s Smokey even here in Edmonton right now
Beautiful drone footage.
Many thanks!
Great video Tony. The new drone covers a lot of territory and smooth. That looks like the 113 in Revy.
Thank you, Yes the drone is very smooth and Yes thats the 113
Great video again, keep the great work!!!
Thank you 😊
It’s so stunningly beautiful there.
Stay safe buddy 🌲

Yes, there are many areas I still want to film but the cost to travel from Edmonton that far makes it a bit more difficult
Nice video Tony. Looks like you were at Jumping Creek road. Have you filmed near Craigellachie at the last spike area?
Thanks, I have not been to the last spike as there are usually people around and I don’t like flying around then

great vid, you should visit detroit river tunnel sometime
I would love to do some stuff in Ontario as I have family there so it will happen at some point

I am not sure if the old hydro dam is still there. It was almost right where the Illecillewaet drains into the Columbia River

Thank you, I agree the bells at crossings gets annoying so I try to avoid those locations but sometimes it’s impossible
@@TonyVRailfanning yes we get what we get indeed. I like that most of your video isn’t at road xings.
The trains use to do a fair bit huffing and puffing just to get up Abert Canyon.
Yes, in the steam days and even when SD40s were still very common
