That's actually a valid point if you think about it. iPhones have peaked and it's proven by the minimal difference 14's have with 13's. Now a budget android is more than enough for an average user.

Usually I'm not wowed by iOS software but I really am with the Dynamic Island. Pretty jealous Android didn't think of it first. Hoping really hard in the future Android will have the same built into the OS, so we get full deep interactive support like in iOS.

Dynamic island kinda goes against one handed use, and you'll smudge your cameras often. The animations ate sick tho

LG was really ahead of their time. They did wide angle cameras way before anyone else too
Dynamic island first time was reviewed on the samsung phone back in 2015, after that Honor phones with the Os modernised it and thats pretty much what you see now in the iPhone that ofk was released later

I think iLand is better in my opinion because it shows all the notifications like for example someone messaged you or theres mail you need to read in gmail and you can even customize it.
When I made this video there was no alternatives out but in my decent top apps I showed off a new dynamic island app you can get in the playstore

Maybe they can build on it, I don't know. But right now it's just a notification popup that mimics the animation (for only like 2 things) and doesn't seem interactive at all. Nice effect, but not the same.

I just featured a new app that brings the dynamic island to android in my new top apps video. It also brings notification support.
Has anyone noticed that the app adds Chinese characters in your name? It's even in the video between "Matt" & "Robb". It did the same on my phone. This COULD/MAY have malicious software in it. I uninstalled it after I saw this. I thought it had to do with Matt's shirt in the video but it does not. I don't wear a tin foil hat but beware.
It was made by a Chinese developer and the original app was in Chinese but someone else converted the app into English. But that's a good spot and yeah my shirt is unrelated 😅

I'm pretty sure the hole punch needs to be in the middle but not 100% sure as I don't have another device to test it on

Every phone should make this a standard feature. Replace banner notifications with the "island" which is a terrible name lol. Kinda bummed I'm not getting this on my iPhone 12 mini. Imagine having a screen size where interacting with the island feels seemless.

I’m using nova launcher so you can hide it in the settings or I set a double tap my homescreen gesture to hide it

Its definitely not a virus I risked my own device first time and scanned the apk file. It may seem like a bit strange sometimes as there's a bit of Chinese writing within the popups but doesn't seem to battery drain or affect my devices performance.
