Guys here is what i think.. This app is still in early access stage and I guess it may be improved if we share feedback to the developer. Dont see this feature as a mere notification pill, this enable multitasking by just a tap instead of going to recent app and opening the app..imagine if we get like 3 to 4 apps circles or pills on the top, we have access to 4 background running apps rt on top, Just tap it to open it, or let's say press and hold on it to open it in Split screen. There are possibilities which samsung can natively improve it if they want it. Just need to think how it can be made useful instead of just squashing a new feature. 😀
This is a really cool feature, it would however make more sense if Samsung were to natively support it rather than a 3rd party. I say this because for instance on iOS, when the Dynamic Island expands, it doesn't overlay against the icons to the right and to the left, rather, it pushes the icons away to make room for the Dynamic Island.
On Android, instead of pushing aside the icons, it overlays above them. I understand this is because it is a 3rd party app, so it would be cool to see how Samsung approaches it. Hoping to see this come to OneUI soon 5.
on the settings page you can donate to the developer to play around with some of the settings and edit the actions

This is the beauty of Android. Third party apps can be used to customize parts of the OS itself; no need to wait for OEMs to implement them.

and that's why in general they doesn't work well, as it needs to be compatible with thousands of smartphones, even with a "team" (who's usually its just a guy with a laptop and some know-how) without the capacities of a big player like apple, samsung, etc....
But yeah, being capable of customize my android phone even when it doesn't worth it on the most part of the time is cool.

What's funny is that $200 Android smartphones will have Dynamic Island, but all $1000 iPhones except the 14 Pro won't 😅

Thought of it as a gimmick, personally been using android for 10 years now, however apple and android becoming similar sharing ideas, this dynamic spot is good for media player without bringing notifcation down or have the app in popup widget or pop up screen. For example, I mainly have it for anything to do with audio (Udemy, TH-cam M, Spotify, Audible, Web browser Radios, Google Maps, Uber/Lyft) its very useful for multitasking and dont want to open the app, hope they can add a way to close the app entirely. Might consider buying pro if there is such addition (swipe to close app) Great video, they made aodnotify which I am fan as well so I highly recommend people to atleast try it.
Edit bought because they add more music control and music visualizer (If you have s22 I recommend it but my s8 gets glitched cropped screen)
Minimal notif pop up has been a thing for galaxy devices for years already... named as edge notification... apple just made something ridiculous and gimmicky hahahha

Although I'm not on the dynamic island hype bandwagon this app is impressive considering its steel beta and doesn't exceed 3MB if I'm not mistaken! More customisable than dynamic island too.

I am not able to use maps and voice recorder the way it works with Spotify. I have S23 Ultra running on Android 14 with One UI 6 beta...is that the problem..any suggestions

Imho this idea, with dynamic island - is a disaster :) really, guys, all control has to be concentrated at the bottom as much as possible because this improves user experience. Easier to do things with one finger, while reaching TOP of a huge phone - always was, is and always will be inconvenient because it requires you to use second hand.
If I wanted to look like Apple then I wouldn't have invested into Samsung S22 Ultra:)

@@asifzzaman1632 I never owned an Apple device even when I have stayed in countries that sell them at much cheaper. Apple ecosystem isn't my preference. Coming to whether I searched this video, the answer is - No I didn't search, I follow Appx to be updated with latest updates that come to Samsung OneUI as I have always bought Samsung flagships.
Apple has a ugly screen problem and dynamic island is just fancy coverup. I don't choose to give up my screen real estate:)

@@swagger6166 even if they did it'll be optional, like an Add On from Good Lock. On Apple, you are forced to use what they think is good for you
This also makes you choose between the edge lighting or dynamic island. I personally like the edge lighting so unless both work simultaneously, will be skipping this for now. Fingers crossed though!
Yeah reminds me of edge lighting. I'd use it but having a light on charging or notifications might cause screen burn in. Havent tested fully to see if haa but a few months still fine.
@@robertceron9056 burn in shouldn't be a major concern here because:
1. The lights are in motion i.e they aren't static and they keep moving with a wave like pattern so the pixels are refreshed.
2. You can also shorten the duration of the notification light as per your liking. Also, if I am not wrong, there is no light active when plugged in to an outlet.
3. It is extremely customisable, as in, you even automatically get different colours of edge lighting depending on the app.
All in all, super useful in my opinion and you should definitely give it a try!

Without having the ability to respond to message in Dynamic Spot, no real point unless an update brings that. Samsung pop ups solves this in their own texting notifications.

Nice app and everything but when I received a message, wassup or messenger I get both notifications Dynamic spot and Samsung stock notifications how do I fix that?

I still get Samsung's brief pop-up notifications even after disabling it system wide. It is kinda annoying to see 2 pop-up notifications, 1 system default and another from this dynamic island.

I don't like Dynamic Island regardless if it's on Apple or Android, I don't want to stretch/work my way all the way to the top of the phone to touch my face camera, I want everything towards the bottom where my thumb already is.

This is good but what if there's no notification, will the pill still be visible? If yes then it becomes a hindrance on the whole screen..it shud roll back to the punch camera hole if there's no notification and roll out as a pill if there is a notification...
You can select the app from which you want the notifications to show up. Do share your feedback to developer..

You can't see it with a dark background or wallpaper. And I love dark wallpaper. I also want to be able to use with one hand. And also don't like it on my from front camera. Too much smudges from fingerprints

Why would we use this? Samsung has a better punch Hole than this pill shape cutout, iPhone makes this dynamic just to avoid the controversy of such a big cutout.

The Dynamic Island is cool... but really not necessary for us Android users. It can be redundant. I turned off all notifications to enjoy the DynamicSpot app. I like the music control in the DynamicSpot platform.... I wont purchase just yet.

Doesn't seem to be working well on my one plus 7 pro phone. I'm not fond of third party apps anyway they gain too much access to your phone. It's a cool concept though I wish androids came with it out of the box.

The notify panel already provides this use case, hopefully this won't disrupt what we have already acquired, this is redundancy and a waste of screen neat to repeat but please don't implement this where we'd have to block this thing its useless in my humble, respectful opinion, definitely troll worthy but that's about it

@@ThePhoneFuel yes sir I definitely respect your opinion, the edge panels and notifications panel already provides these actions, adding another screen interruption to do the same thing is great if people want that, I just love what's there and don't want it removed that's all, hopefully people are aware of those things as well as you have done videos on these very things, a comparison against the island with the edge and notification panel to refresh would be awesome, once again appreciate everything you share.

@@ThePhoneFuel there's probably some widget out there that provides this function already with app selection of preference as well to be on your home or screen of preference in different iterations and forms, but to be able to have edge lighting notifying at a glance and able to tap and open a pop up or slide down your notify panel and see active actions and enter apps from the notification or activity itself is optimal for me I don't like clutter, now if we didn't have these options then the island would be a game changer and a step to what we already have, but it's interesting to know you prefer the island

This app did NOT also work on my galaxy note 10 plus, permanently shrinking my screen after install. Very difficult to remove the app also. Also several hours later all my Samsung Internet shortcuts completely disappeared off my screen permanently, a huge headache as I had over two dozen on my homescreen within folders.
Very disappointing app! It also removed my Google pay app.
I guess this is the price I pay for installing a beta app.
That's really strange, Noone has faced these issues as far as I know. I am using it and I don't see an issue.. may be on note 10 plus there js some issues.

It worked on my s22 not my s8 it made the resolution smaller and cropped to display and bugged out. So I have the free version on my s22 but sadly not my s8

why do you have a blue betta in cold water and a small bowl with no filter....
I am not sure where you live, here in my region the normal water temperature is 28 to 30 degrees and we don't use heaters in the fish tank, unless it's winters.. and the bowl is big enough for the betta fish as recommended by the ichthyolpgist. In the video it looks small though
