One time I asked my Gdad why he only took his car to a certain shop. He told me back in the days of Jim crow this particular shop, owned by the father of the man that owns it now, was the only auto repair and gas station in that area of the city that would do business with black people. The other business owners and some police officers harassed him and a two other business owners that refused to shut out black people daily. There were threats to firebomb their businesses. Those business men camped out at their businesses every night to protect it from racists. After a week went b with these men not going home to their families my Gdad said him and several other men some black, some white took turns protecting those businesses so those men could go home to their families. They stood their ground till it died down and the white supremacists backed down.
When good people stick together it makes a difference. Sometime in a small way, sometimes in a major way.

My father always did more business with black men who worked out of their homes than taking his trucks to a repair shop, or calling a plumber. Bricklayers, you name it. He did it not out of sympathy, but respect and love. He essentially did everything he could to help support more black families than anyone I’ve ever known and I’ve done my best to emulate his legacy. He hired black men who were disabled yet worked harder than anyone else ever would’ve had he given some young kid the chance. He was loyal to them, and it was greatly reciprocated. I loved my father more than anything and the most important life lessons he ever taught me weren’t ever taught by words, but with his own actions.

You have to admit guilt if you're white, and you can never lose that guilt or redeem yourself in any way. The best you can do is live your entire life in service to "people of color." There are black people who are stabbed by black people. Overweight people stabbed by overweight people. Poor people stabbed by poor people. To think that the so called under privileged don’t abuse, subjugate, gossip or backstab is far too simple a concept.
It’s like South Asians who lie in arranged marriages, hold girls back from doing what they do themselves including fashion, gossip, ruin relationships and get jealous, yet don’t want the same done to them. Unfortunately this is completely untrue. Babies are racist af. They show a preference from birth for faces that look like their caregivers' face, which is typically the same race as their own.
I hate this "nobody is born racist" attitude because it means are pretending we can all just ignore race and that will magically end racism. Absolutely false. You have to actively raise your children to *overcome* their instinctual fear of people who look like they might be different "tribes" - this was a helpful instinct when humans did belong to small groups that often competed for resources, but now it's dysfunctional and must be counteracted.

When my uncle was a little boy in the 1930’s a white man came on my grandfather’s farm with a wheelbarrow to steal when my grandfather wasn’t home. My family is African American and when the white man realized he had been seen, he came to the house hat in hand asking my grandmother for food. Now my grandmother recognized him as one of those KKK, but being the Christian woman she was and knowing he had children she gave him several jars of fruits and vegetables she had canned and asked him to bring the jars back. That was the first time my uncles said they saw a white man bow and scrape to colored people . He could not stop yes mam my grandmother and thanking her. He was good to his word every jar came back cleaned with a thank you so very much mam. The next time they saw him over town, he immediately took his hat off to greet my grandmother. “ How do you do Mrs. _____ ? “ Pride goes before a fall.

These people that have never had someone pop em in the mouth before, I swear it’s the only reason why this happens. Everyones a lil baby, not knowing any prejudices, but they all grow...just some haters have to push their hate & blame someone, weak ppl blame others without ever looking inward. We're all the same! Either your good ppl, or u aint...there are good, bad, ugly, & beautiful in all races, genders, countires, tribes, & communities.. its self hate, hating others, but bn too coward to admit it, so they hate loudly to deflect, scared others might see right thru them, or faux arrogance, some ppl are soo snobby, & judgy bcuz subconsciously its their shields. ...all that + mainstream media trying to divide us, instead of bringing us together. They want sectors of ppl, not 1 human race, bcuz they know if we truly came together, we'd be the biggest movement on Earth, so they intentionally push hate & racism..sad part is they try to brainwash all the younger generations to believe its soooo bad! When Ive bn to ovr 30 states, & yea ur either cool or ur not, wherever tf you're at..Ppl are ppl

Mosquitos are the only thing that has killed more people than the 2000-year-old fairy tale of Christianity, and while Jesus was obviously a progressive genius far ahead of his time, there was nothing divine about him. That said, he's still the best example of how to live. But Christianity is the 3rd-most immediate and dangerous existential threat, and the greatest danger to the future of species, behind MAGA and billionaires, ahead of climate change.
The good news is that there actually IS a God, or possibly gods, it's just none of ours. And the fact that God exists, is literally the only thing we know about God.
Scientifically and mathematically, it is absolutely impossible that the universe occurred at random. It was very obviously designed by an intelligent hand, as every super-genius in history has known for centuries.
Organized religion based on demonstrably false stories is primitive and dangerous. Please stop it.

For those who dont know, the name of this movie is 11.22.63. And for those who are wondering why such a strange name was picked for a movie, 11.22.63 is the exact date the American President, John F. (Fitzgerald) Kennedy was assassinated in His Lincoln Continental Motorcade, shot once in the upper back and the in the head. All of this happened in his political trip to Dallas, Texas. The assassin was Lee Harvey Oswald who went on to kill a Police Officer who tried to detain him. Thankfully he was later captured by the Dallas Police, 2-3 Days Later he was shot and killed at point blank range and murdered aswell by Jack Ruby, who supposedly had ties to the Mafia. A heartwarming detail is that President Kennedy fought for the civil rights of coloured people and supported them quite a lot. From what i know Mr. Amberson is a time traveller whose sent to stop the Kennedy Assassination.

To be clear, Oswald was not the only assassin...it's been proven physically impossible for him to have fired 3 shots and had 3 hits in that time span with that weapon, and there is lots of evidence proving there were more than 3 shots fired. Most experts agree that the head shot came from the front(Oswald shot from behind and from elevation).

While stationed at Fort Shafter, HI as a Chaplain's Assistant, I had a couple of run-ins with enlisted officers in my chain of command. My direct Sargeant permitted the white female soldier to read Cosmo while she waiting for service to end, but on my duty Sunday, I was directed to participate in the religious service and couldn't do my computer correspondence courses so I could apply for a promotion.
I was also always put on what they called "Duty Soldier" trash truck every other week riding around picking up debris, but the white female was not.
When I finally brought a Cosmo in while religious services was going on and I was in the back office, my CO came in and demanded I put the magazine down and participate in the service and when I refused, he had me written up on an Article 15. I lost rank and was banned from re-enlisting.
I filed a formal complaint because they also denied me annual leave for 2 years. The Sargeant Major called me in his office and apologized profusely for the racist treatment and the white female soldier was finally put on the "Duty Soldier" roster like everyone else. The last time I saw her, she was sitting in the back of the truck with the debris. Both white females were my friends, but they received favorable treatment; even promoted. I left and went in the legal field.
It never dawned on me to stop socializing with these women because they received special treatment or because they were white. One even was my maid of honor. My career in the army didn't pan out nor the marriage, but I found a satisfying career in the legal field and a really great husband!

In Biloxi maybe they hated airmen, but guess what, when you took the suit off no one knew what branch you served or who tf you were. They just knew you were a white man in the 60s. You go tell this story to a black ppl who had loved ones lynched because they couldn’t peel their skin back and hide the fact that they were black.
You ARE NOT the same. And your EXPERIENCE is NOT the same.

I was living southern Fla in the early 80’s … one day I was stopped at a traffic signal on my way to work and all of a sudden during the red light.. 3 vans waiting at 3 corners all opened their sliding doors roughly at the same time and out stepped 3-4 men dressed in full hooded KKK attire from each van.. and started passing out fliers promoting an upcoming KKK Rally… I was 20, and having lived in NY and Ca. prior, I have never witnessed such a thing.. By the time the signal had changed, they had all returned to their respective vans and drove off… For those few minutes, I can only imagine what anyone of color must have thought..
