Loved Enzo sleeping on the pillows. My girls used to sleep on my pillows but after 1 passed away from cancer, the other one slept up there for a couple of weeks, waiting for her to come back home…now she doesn’t sleep up there anymore.😢 it was sweet to see Enzo sleeping on the pillows, like my Shubee used to…right in the middle like a boss.

I used to make resolutions, then decided they weren't very supportive of me and my actual future self. I merely make plans to just be me and go with life, in my planned out way, of course. Haha I am VERY excited about this new year! I am finally welcoming in my own new life path in what will be my 57th year. I am an artist, photographer and digital artist too. I am FINALLY combining those bits and bobs of me, and my creations, and turning them into a future production of textiles and paper goods. I'm also moving, as are my children, to a fabulous new city we have been dreaming of for quite some time! The vibe is more our style, electric and creative! My word for the year is consistency! I am trying not to overwhelm myself with big projects for the first quarter of the year (I have to focus on getting taxes ready 😞). Second quarter I’m focused on decluttering my house. That’s as far as I’ve planned for now.

As far as your content goes, I personally love the variety you have been doing! Its never boring!!! I am amazed at how much energy you have! How you can do so much in one day blows my mind! But it also helps when your husband is able to take care of the bigger things too! I know its been an adjustment going from an historically beautiful home to a much more modern styled home, but I do see those wonderful sparks of your more classic styling coming through and it just fits right in! I need this motivation for decluttering. I am in the middle of going through my storage room attached to our finished basement and there is so much stuff in there from raising 3 children. It feels so good to get rid of so much stuff. I have made two trips so far to goodwill.

In church this week, the priest was saying a good way to handle New Year's resolutions is not by setting goals for the year that usually faded out by March. Each week, Sunday night or Monday morning set a goal for that week. It will put you in a better mind-set, make the goal more achievable and may even be able to accomplish more. And no worries if your goal wasn't achieved that week, just set it as a goal the following week.

Home is the first place kids learn responsibilities and once they are old enough to go to school they are definitely old enough to have chores and responsibilities. I commend you on teaching your kids those responsibilities. But of course, you'll have to remind them every day. Lol. The important thing is, don't let them off the hook. I would love more cook and decorate with me. At the moment I'm taking care of my 98 year old mom who has trouble getting around but is mentally as sharp as anyone I know. So for the beginning of this year I have no resolutions other than being there for her and distressing as much as possible.
I would love to see separate recipe videos! I started watching your channel because I loved the style of the old Victorian house. I don't have or want kids, and your old house was great inspo for what I want for just me, my partner and our pets. I loved the decorating videos in that house! Since you've moved, I haven't been as inspired to click on decorating videos, but have been missing your cook with mes. It'll be easier to keep up with them if they're stand alone videos! That said, congrats on the new home! I did grow up in a family of 6 in victorian houses, so totally understand the need for a bigger house!

Happy New Year everyone! I’m starting to declutter my place and get ready to move to where my daughter lives. I also have nieces, a sister and their families living there! So yes getting rid of a lot of things I no longer use!
Always love your videos. For my New Years resolution I plan to use less water. The world's clean water supply is at risk. I plan to reuse clean water and veggie cooking water to water house plants. I will also not let my husband rinse the dishes anymore. He keeps the water running the whole time he is cleaning up the kitchen. I make sure I have dishes lined up and turn the water off when cleaning the counters. I hope you also make a resolution to reuse, reduce and recycle.

As your children get older, they will naturallyhave more activities. When my kids were home, I had a white board calendar too. I kept it on my fridge and all of us had different colors. That way my husband and I could tell at a glance what we were doing that particular day. I would fill out the calendar every Sunday night.
I just have to make 1 lunch for my 9 year old when she doesn't want school lunch and I always make it at night. I put it in the fridge and take it out in the morning. We use a bentgo box too. It's time saving and easier for her not to have to take the time to open each ziploc bag or container. Have you thought about doing their lunches at night? My daughters lunch stays fresh. Never had an issue. Im not a morning person so my head is not thinking straight in the morning and it would definitely take me too much time to make it then

As your children get older, they will naturallyhave more activities. When my kids were home, I had a white board calendar too. I kept it on my fridge and all of us had different colors. That way my husband and I could tell at a glance what we were doing that particular day. I would fill out the calendar every Sunday night.
I just have to make 1 lunch for my 9 year old when she doesn't want school lunch and I always make it at night. I put it in the fridge and take it out in the morning. We use a bentgo box too. It's time saving and easier for her not to have to take the time to open each ziploc bag or container. Have you thought about doing their lunches at night? My daughters lunch stays fresh. Never had an issue. Im not a morning person so my head is not thinking straight in the morning and it would definitely take me too much time to make it then
