Law of torque, bracing, postural adaptation for a mouvement. These are key notions that I have learnt from Ido Portal

Ido portal is on another level! I haven’t had the chance to train at one of his workshops yet but it’s on the bucket list!

So pulling your belly in to protect your spine is wrong? Or exhale on the lift for support. What about the pelvic floor, what’s happening there when you fill up with internal pressure. This is interesting I’ll check out DNS. Ty

    Hello Sir,
At the beginning thanks for your wonderful video. My question is this, why abdominal pressure is approximately equal to atmosphere pressure? Though, thoracic pressure is less than atmosphere pressure?
Hope you to answer my question.
    Thanks at all

Great video mate, wouldn’t a belt be a negative? As I would imagine it tries to force air out as it pushes in/ against all the core, like squeezing the bottle, whilst the core and air is trying to push out. Thanks

It depends. If the belt is incredible tight and I have little to no IAP then yes but part of the point of the belt is the bring neurological awareness to the fact that you need to generate IAP.

Blow up a balloon, the top of the balloon is the diaphram, the bottom is the pelvic floor, the sides are the obliques, front is the rectus abdominus, the back is spine and multifidus.
Swap the latex for a cylinder flesh balloon.

This is why I herniated a lumbar disc :(
(almost exactly when I went to click 'comment' you said "we end up herniating a disc")

So with breathing in it relaxes your abdominal muscles and your skull is supposed to rest on your atlas. You're also supposed to stand with your knees slightly bent( which is relaxing the trunk and all leg muscles) then by creating that intra abdominal pressure and resting your skull by pulling up as high as possible should pull all the muscles in you're body up? Which is how the body works because muscles move bone through the signal your brain sends to any particular muscle to make the movent need for the current situation. Allowing you to always keep that intra abdominal pressure and always breathe with your diaphragm to the max correct? Also making your muscles stretch and strengthen to the max of their ability through just body weight? Making all your muscles tight but not necessarily contracted and slowing down blood flow to an unhealthy result right?

Sorry for the unorganized paragraph of questions but I've just been studying these things online and have read so many different types of core engaging/bracing/hollowing techniques. You seem very knowledgeable in this area as well. But the only thing that's puzzled me is I can't find anything on the heads role in posture really but wouldn't it only make sense that it is the key to having a good upright posture. mean they say that there's posture muscles that work against gravity but aren't they all posture muscles that work against gravity.

So an empty stomach would cause more problems then a full one? and also on empty stomach Alcohol can cause more bleeding within / or causing Hemorrhoid's? I have noticed when i stop drinking I dont bleed but when I dont eat well for long periods of time and drink alcohol it starts ? Thanks ..oh also they say not to sit on toilet too long but i sit on metal chair for prolonged periods of time ?

Its all about context. No IAP on a heavy lift with a lack of capacity for that lift will potentially lead to injury. Alcohol in this situation in regards to IAP has nothing to do with it. That’s a physiology issue in your intestines.
