Bruh, using FaceID at night /in the dark doesn’t do anything, you can literally put a tape over the camera (JUST the front camera, not the FaceID module) and it will function properly. FaceID is basically a lidar scanner just for your face.

I’d say opening apps isn’t a true test of speed. Rather, it seems like an unnecessary test at this point. Phones are so fast that not only is the difference very negligible but most users aren’t thinking about which opens what faster. Since the transition is seamless with everything. Of course that wasn’t the only thing you did here, but that doesn’t change what I think.
One things I’d say is the phone is more of an “S” upgrade. Fixes issues I had with the 15PM “overheating and battery drain, I also was a huge user of Ultra Wide! If those were issues than upgrade but, expect “S” quality. Also, I think iOS 18 just like other softwares will take one or two updates to perfect the hardware and then we will be happy users! I am happy with this upgrade as my expectations were exactly what it brought but, I’d say this it ain’t for everyone.

That’s a 15 PM!” And sure enough phones were so similar that she never realized other associate grabbed the wrong phone. 💀

I noticed towards the end when you did the camera application speed test the grid was enabled on the 16 Pro Max and not the 15 Pro Max so that could be a factor on them opening at different times as well

You will really need eagle eyes to spot the differences between 16pm and 15pm side by side both front and back for comparable colours, especially natural titanium colour. I think the only difference is the camera button and slight increase in size on 16pm 🤣🤣🤣

I would disclose what your internet speed is on your connection before you do the WiFi test. Some people might feel as if 600mbps or so might be what the phone is capable of. For example on Wifi 6E I get 1200mbps down on my Pixel 9Pro XL and Z Fold 6

iPhones are notorious for having overheating issues. I have owned a few cheap android phones that have overheated as well. My google pixel 9 pro xl doesn’t overheat at all.

I can attest to the battery life. It is much better than my 15 Pro Max was and the Face ID seems to unlock much faster than the 15 max as well.
Since 12 pro max, only battery makes sense until now.. no major charges..
