it uses stereo audio in the same way a lot of 60s music did-basically putting different instruments and effects (or parts, as for the drum kit) in the different ears for a stereo headset (left and right speaker)
I would imagine the music video as this: An attraction TH-camr goes to look at Marvin's Marvelous Museum, and then finds an arcade machine. When the TH-camr goes near it, the song starts playing, and shows one of the band members. After that, the band members come out of the bottom part of the arcade machine, and obviously, stuff happens. And it is still in the phone camera format while all that is happening.
