There are TONS of rides better than the Fail of the Dragon. Thanks for sharing your ride! I live in the Tri-cities area in northeastern Tennessee, and we have the best riding I've ever experienced. You should look up the Dragon Slayer ride. It's a 150-mile loop. It's just east of Ocoee, TN. From Hwy 74 out of Ocoee, head east to Hwy 30 north. Take that up to 315 (Tellico Reliance Road) and follow 315 up to 39, then 39 eastward to 68. Go right on 68 toward Tellico Plains and continue south through Turtletown to Ducktown. Pick up the 64 west back towards Ocoee. You'll get back to 74 and that completes the loop. Ride safe!
We’re coming back next year and plan to ride and stay east of Asheville. In this trip we stayed north and west of Asheville. Any must rides on the eastern side? We’ll do BRP again in a few spots.
@@FullTankAdventures Just east of Asheville are three rides that have overlapping sections. Those rides are the Bat Cave (Sidewinder), the Camel Toe, and the Saluda Bat Cave. If you were to go a bit further southeast, you'll find a ride called the "Train Wreck." Send me an email at soujrnr@pm.me and I can send you a photo of the area on a map, and I might even have GPX files of them if you're using a navigation app that uses that format.
I've been on them all, many times. If you're in that area again try the Beaver Dam Rd north out of Canton, NC all the way up and over the mountain and down the other side. Also, make sure your brake system is in top shape!
Dragon is overrated, so many better roads in the Smokies and I am glad you are finding them. Try 28 South from the Highlands and then right on Warwoman Rd. Another would be Wayah Rd from north of Andrews to Franklin. No trip that way is complete with out a pass on Cherohala Skyway!!! Enjoy, these are all in our backyard and get to ride them regularly!!!
Thank you for the road advice, we are definitely going back. We actually found Wayah by accident and it was really fun! Very jealous of your ability to ride all these great roads out your back door!
@@FullTankAdventures We stayed in robbinsville very recently to ride the skyway and Deals Gap. Looking into staying a little bit more east this time, maybe Maggie Valley
I ride around there every other weekend. The dragon is something you do once to say you did.
I’ve been lucky the few times I’ve done it, it hasn’t been crazy busy. But you are right, so many other amazing roads close by.
209 is one of my favorites. Love to hear the big bikes scrape. Great video
Haha, thanks! We had fun!
Ridden the Rattler a few times when in that area and always enjoyed it. Lunch at Vinyl Pizza in Hot Springs is great!
@@ThomasOzOsburn Agreed! It’s a great ride.

Very nice!!

Nice video. Planning a trip to the smokies. Nc80, 209, tn421 are on the list. Any recommendations on places to stay at?
@@karansawhney2906 We did an AirBNB and It was awesome. Spectacular view just outside Franklin.

@@karansawhney2906 I think we’re going back next year and are looking at staying more east as well.
And less crowded😎🇺🇸 Many backroads in western NC and eastern TN that’s much better than the Snake and the Dragon!
True, so so so many good roads!
Look that GoPro mount!!
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Stopped watching. Too much backward viewing.
