I genuinely cried the first time I listened to this album. I come from a vastly different background and upbringing than Juice, but the themes of depression, anxiety, and substance abuse coupled with the fact that this was a posthumous release really got to me. I've had more than a handful of my own issues with mental illness and substance abuse, but I was fortunate enough to get sober at 21, only a few months older than Juice was when he died. When I listened, it was so easy for me to imagine drinking myself to an early grave instead of getting sober when I did. I guess I just kind of felt connected to a lot of this album in ways that I never would have expected, being that I'm not a rap fan at all outside of Juice. But I think that music is supposed to speak to us, and if we can empathize with something that we're hearing, that's great. Legends Never Die hit me like a truck, and I believe that it's absolutely what a posthumous album should be.
@@tideaaronfox ehh fighting demons was pretty good still, obviously it didn’t have a whole story as an album normally would but ignoring critics, it’s still a good listen and isn’t packed with features

KamiTheKamikaze it’s not really a beat I would usually like. But juice is just so versatile that it makes it work. Plus trippie is good at making hooks
King Chad the r&b songs accurately portrayed the way he was going to go in the future. Its not like they came out of nowhere hes had r&b type songs before he died.
I just feel like the people people who actually cared about juice and his music don't watch this guy's reviews bc it really doesn't matter as long as you like it
As a huge juice WRLD fan myself I have a lot of respect for those who put legends never die together! There are a few duds but it’s really well done! I love the album sm
Took him a few days to release the review, in which he probably analyzed and thought out what songs were good or not, this video is also edited so who knows how long the actual video is
I feel like the song has its moments, it doesn't suck but its not the best on the album either. My favorites are Titanic, Righteous, Come & Go, and Screw Juice
@@xILxGow idk man Uzi can be really boring and repetitive I wouldn't be able guess on which album the song was off u played it. Just my opinion but I don't see any improvement in sound or lyrics so I'd agree with a 3. Eternal Atake was so hard to listen through it was overhyped. I think he's someone who has quite a few real bangers but not someone who cares to make a well crafted project
@@zanderblue5089 he was repetitive in eternal Atake but luv is rage 2 is by far his most diverse project yet. Songs like 444+222, neon guts, feelings mutual, early 20 rager, unfazed, XO Tour lLif3, dark queen, 20 min, the way life goes, sauce it up don't even sound anywhere near to each other
I’m actually very happy with this album. I was worried it was gonna be a last chance cash grab, but it does feel like an album he would’ve released if he was still alive.
Imo this is his best and most consistent project to date. Almost all of the tracks are pretty dang good on here, and there’s only two tracks that are sub par imo. Definitely a great album, despite it being such a sad listen due to his subject matter and his death. Great posthumous album. 8.5/10 RIP Juice Favorite tracks: Can’t die, Come and Go, Blood On My Jeans
I'd replace Come and Go with Hate The Other Side imo tbh, and if we're gonna include the interludes, the worst track would be The Man, The Myth, The Legend, I just really think that interlude was super pointless and was merely there as an ego stroke to his name.
it’s not a bad album. i just think it’s a bit overhyped by people calling it the album of the year and stuff. it’s a solid posthumous album and i think a 5-7 is a fair review of it. that trippie feature tho...
Come and Go was one of my favorite songs on this album, ESPECIALLY with the music video that came with it. I listened to EDM artists such as Marshmello before I listened to rap, so it's so cool to have both mixed in one amazing song.
I can't even explain the connection I feel to Juice WRLD. At 28, I'm past his demo. Being straight edge, I don't relate to the drugs. I'm not usually interested in this sub genre of hip hop.. etc... But I feel so connected to him. It might be the fact that I was at a really low point a few months ago that was a years long battle with depression that had me feeling suicidal on multiple occasions. And it still creeps in from time to time. But man I just love this album. There's a few songs I could leave, but overall I'm a big fan. Can't even put to words the way tracks like Bad Energy, Righteous, Wishing Well, and Lifes A Mess make me feel.
Ah man; I was hoping this would get an 8 from you-though I’m not complaining at all about a 7. For me it’s a decent 8; really loved listening to this actually. It just makes me happy to see Juice’s family & label are treating his work with as much care, love, and respect and possible. LLJW!
@@user-fs1lc2cj5s the point that this is no way the same quality of his last albums. Pop Smoke latest had way less bangers an originality than Meet the Woo 2 did aswell yet didnt bother reviewing it
Asapphire541 Yeah man there’s a ton of albums he hasn’t reviewed it’s not because he doesn’t like them. A 6 is a decent score but it’s not great. And yeah he gave X a terrible score on his posthumous record. It’s just his opinion man y’all get way to bent out of shape about it
Really makes me happy that Anthony didn’t shit on this album. It meant a lot to me at first listen and I think it really does convey what Juice WRLD offered us in his music and the feelings he had towards the end of his life. Juice got me out of a lot of bad times especially songs like “Empty” and “Used To”. RIP Jarad Higgins.
I love this album so much, basically perfect, I only dislike 3-4 lines. Very nostalgic to me too. 9.7/10 Edit: what the heck it’s a 10, the new album was a 5 I was dissapointed
7k it was pretty catchy from juice’s part ngl but the bloody beat drop was disgusting not at all what I expected from marshmello he was probs experimenting w the guitar drop
I understand why someone might have put it on the album because it's to reach out to a different audience, and evidently it's performing on streaming platforms. It just should have been released as a Marshmello song and it would be received much better because that's exactly the kind of thing that Marshmello releases, but it's far far away from an actual Juice WRLD song.
I love the album and all Juice albums and SC material as well as the leaks. It could be me being a major Juicewrld stan but I don't think he ever put out a bad song. Even his freestyles that are over an hour long are better than rap albums being dropped by so many of his contemporaries in my opinion. I think the label did honor to Juice by the inclusion of the talk about drugs even under the circumstances of his death because thats what he was talking about from the start and was a continuing theme in his life. I also think the way the album was laid out was a good tribute and memorial to juice with the The Man, The Myth, The Legend Interlude at the end of the album you also have 3 songs which follow suit to an extent about the respective titles. Out of the legends Juice was talking about on the song, if you count him amongst them I think the release of this project was handled in the best way in comparison to Lil Peep and Xxxtentacion. It's a sticky situation and a sensitive one and ultimately fans want to hear the music from artists they love even in their passing. On the other hand the music being released if not fully realized and finalized by the artist can come across as a money grab or commercialization that wasn't true to the artists work. Certainly there is a deeper discussion to be had here and I do not think all posthumous releases from Peep and X were bad but some of them have rubbed me the wrong way. One thing I think was handled perfectly because of his involvement with the music video was X's song Sad. It was quite literally prophetic and the timing seemed incredibly eerie but also seems quite clear its something X had worked on extensively both in the video and from his sentiments before he was killed. Also with Lil Peep the documentary about his life Everybody's Everything was an excellent tribute to Lil Peep but also showed fans another side of Gus behind the scenes and looked at the reality of the situation without overly showed glamorizing his life before and during his brief rise to fame. Of course there are more "Legends" in the rap game but much like 2Pac and Biggie have been considered the legends of the old guard of hip hop I think Juice, X, and Peep are the Legends of modern rap. Also a slight aside I think Mac Miller's album Circles was a fantastic album and very innovative and really showed the direction Mac's music was heading just based off Swimming alone. Pop Smoke also had a great posthumous release, a debut nonetheless, that although was heavily influenced by 50 and features I believe represented what Pop would have wanted based on the short time he was in the industry. I could go on and on about Nipsey, Bankroll Fresh, countless rappers specifically who have died so young and how their legacies have been handled but I'll just end it the same way as you did. Legends Never Die. Forever. (999)
Also a quick note about Righteous & Blood On My Jeans. Because these songs and many others were leaked and Juice livestreamed them while recording before their official releases it feels especially eerie. A few months ago I reposted a Juicewrld Righteous video on another platform from an old Juicewrld livestream and people reacted to it like he was still alive. The last time I checked a few weeks ago the video had a modest 16k views on it. I'm not typically the kind to repost livestreams or pictures of artists I like but I have noticed a trend especially in the wake of X, Peep, and Juice where people start these fan accounts on pages like instagram entirely devoted to one artist and they post every picture they can find and rack up hundreds of thousands of followers and likes. That's something that can rub me the wrong way sometimes as well as it seems some of these pages really wanted to start a way to honor these artists while others are copy cats chasing clout to promote their own music or boost their own careers. Its just such a bizarre dynamic where most fans get an extra layer to the feeling of knowing an artist from their phone screens and never get a chance to see them live in person at a show. Then in their passing when a new picture drops you have never seen of that artist it almost feels like its new and that they are still alive. Extrapolating from this phenomenom along with the lyrical content of these 3 artists I can look back and see why Pac and Biggie lived on so much through their music after death even though their coverage was mostly on TV. It will be strange to see someone like Snoop Dogg pass who has been popular since his Murda Was the Case film and public television trial and coverage on TV to now being as relevant as ever on social media. Snoop is an artist that is really cross generational from the old guard and has continued to thrive and see massive success as a music artists in this new age of connection.
Blood on my Jeans is thee most underrated song on the album. Hes just vibing having a good time, and i can feel that energy from the song. Hes the most full of energy artist i have ever seen in my life time. Juice is up there with Kurt. Rest easy legends 🙏🏻🔥
John I if i feel like he has the most energy, its what im feeling. If you feel differently, doesnt mean i have a slim knowledge of artists. Issa vibe, not a fact bro 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
John I bro... please tell me you did not tell me i havent heard of logic.. i started listening to him in early mixtape days, but stopped after everybody. Also, logic is not an artist that expands knowledge of artists. I thought you would have said a less big named artist...
You know the viewpoint that this is more of a final tribute-like album vs. people like me who aren’t full on fans of Juice who were expecting something different is a pretty good take. I think it’s good for those who loved his music and is a good send off, yet it is upsetting that for people like me he isn’t going to make something that I personally feel he’s capable of
that is insane he gave this a 7 that’s like amazing to the average person who just listens instead of dissect the way anthony does not a bad thing but still i respect the seven

I'm not a rap guy, but Juice seemed like a good kid. My son worships him though, so it broke my heart a little when he died.
Imo this is his best and most consistent project to date. Almost all of the tracks are pretty dang good on here, and there’s only two tracks that are sub par imo. Definitely a great album, despite it being such a sad listen due to his subject matter and his death. Great posthumous album. 8.5/10 RIP Juice

I'd replace Come and Go with Hate The Other Side imo tbh, and if we're gonna include the interludes, the worst track would be The Man, The Myth, The Legend, I just really think that interlude was super pointless and was merely there as an ego stroke to his name.

Anthony - respects juice WRLD but still has his own opinion
UNSUBED
Woo gets a 6, Juice gets a 7, and Mac gets an 8.

7k it was pretty catchy from juice’s part ngl but the bloody beat drop was disgusting not at all what I expected from marshmello he was probs experimenting w the guitar drop
The song still fire. It’s the song that’s being streamed the most on the album

“Not enough juice”- melon
