@alextorres7655 obviously I agree, macs my favorite artist. But he explains where he is coming from when he criticizes albums and explains where the newer ones succeed over the old ones. And plus, his ratings of X and juice never got better as they passed. Just a stupid accusation
I honestly stopped taking Fantano serious after he went from giving swimming a 3 to a 8 after Mac passed. Especially him tearing up on the song Good News like cmon bro cut the sh!*
@@Wapstercat tell me, do you not believe things can grow on you? you think that your first opinion on something is what you should believe in forever? i assure you u have changed your opinions on stuff loads of times just cuz it grew on you. from foods u hated as a kid to movies which wasn't good on first listen, i assure you, you have changed opinions on. so why cant fantano feel that way too?
I'm shocked that there are people who really focus on releases after watching reviews from this person. This person really doesn't deserve your time, he's trash. My personal opinion
Bro definitely bandwagoning now that he’s passed. Bro acts like he separates art from the artist and their personalities/circumstances but he really doesn’t at all
stuff can grow on people brodie, and the stuff he made back then which he didnt give good reviews to and the stuff he made right before his passing were wayyy different. you saying something like circles and something like K.I.D.S are the same?
@beautifly795 he has had positive scores before he died lke good a.m, and again, people can grow on albums, maybe after Mac died Fantano relistened and it finally clicked, but again, he didn't give K.I.D.S a redux, or macadelic, or devine feminine, which he didn't give great reviews to
@beautifly795 people choose to believe what they want to believe. Especially fantano fans, they will defend him on all fronts even when obvious trends are right in front of their faces.
I disagree. What I think has happened is that Mac tragically dying the way he did like he so often predicted/ openly reflected upon changed the dynamic and impact of his message. I personally feel the same way, and I loved Swimming upon release. Take Balloonerism, for example. The project would’ve been bizarre and an experimental journey if released when it was created but it releasing posthumously adds a whole other layer of unadulterated earnestness and vulnerability that was inferable while he was alive but became UNDENIABLE after he died. It’s made the art even more powerful. It reminds me of Blackstar by David Bowie. Because it was heard after his death, it pierced the hearts of his fans so intensely. His death empowered the art itself. If David Bowie had somehow recovered from cancer, Blackstar would’ve still be chilling and applaudably vulnerable from a survivor of late stage cancer but it wouldn’t be the otherworldy swan song it is as a result of it’s finiteness. I think Swimming hits different after Mac’s death, no doubt about it
Bro a 3 on swimming and a 4 on divine feminine, I will agree divine femine was lack luster in terms of quality but no reason swimming should be rated a 3 maybe a 7
Redux faces on his other channel to an 8
crazy how magically his rankings got better when he died
Nah his music is just amazing, if so its only respectful
Circles and balloonerism are both amazing, and the only review he really messed up on and changed his mind on was the swimming one
@@landonwalker665but all his other albums are really good too…

3 years after he died *

but swimming is literally good?
@ that’s what I’m saying it should have been a 8 from the very start or at least higher than a damn 3

@@Wapstercat Ah, that makes more sense. Sorry if I seemed a little annoying.
@JMACBKK OK bro it ain't that deep 😭
Ballonerism was such an unique album. I’d give a 9 to that. Stoned and DJ’s chord organ is an instant classic.

He was always pretty fair with his reviews until devine feminine.
