    Thanks for teaching, but Is there a transpose function on the CTX3000?

    How do i change variations using a pedal? Is it possible? Ive been wondering if it is

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The variations can't be directly controlled by a footswitch, but if you save your RHYTHM set up in REGISTRATION memory, then a pedal can cycle through the variations. For instance, save Variation 1 in REG1, Variation 2 in REG2, etc. Each press of the footswitch will move it along to the next REGISTRATION - unfortunately, you can't set the order of the REGISTRATION sequence.
      In the FUNCTION menu, scroll until you get to "Reg Mem" and then press ENTER. Press the right arrow to get to "Reg Seq" and then set it to 2 for Pedal 1 and 3 for Pedal 2 - typical Casio confusion! A setting of 1 is Off.
      It works, but you'll still need to press RHYTHM buttons if you want intros, fills, and endings. I hope that helps. All the best.

    Hey can ctx3000 do upper layer left hand?

  • @ceririchards6725

    Yau don’t need to press so many chords as it’s triple chord is at a touch of a button. You can use one finger chord and two for flat notes. On the right side of the panel, you have 6 buttons. The first button of the 6 from left to right, the first left button holds triple chord effect so you don’t have to use the span of your fingers to create a chord. Press it and it does it for you, so you can use less fingers to find the correct chords . Less was mistakes are made and easier to remember.
    Cords by a one to two finger Chord tap action and possibly throw in a three for flats .
    It is a cheating way but better for fast playing to upbeat rhythms 🎹 it helps to master the skill of speed.

      Yep, single finger mode can be quicker and easier to start with. I use it if the music is straight forward, i.e. it uses just major, minor, seventh, and minor 7th chords. Casio Chord mode is different though to Yamaha single finger mode though, so watch out if you swap to a Yamaha - for instance, Casio minor chords are root note plus any note to the RIGHT of it; Yamaha minor chords are root note plus any note to the LEFT! If you want the Casio to do the same as Yamaha, switch the Casio to FINGERED ASSIST.
      As you said, Auto Harmonize is also a great way to add chord notes to a right hand melody - and it's definitely not cheating!
      All the best.

      I’ve had a Yamaha and I find it the same. How bizarre 🥰🤗
      Oh! Do you find on the Casio CTX3000 that the keys loosen after a while and start to clang? I’ve had three of these pianos now and all have done the same. Yamaha have better keys and are better for heavy handed Pianists as I started to play on a piano when I was only two , did for many years meaning you had to bang the keys for note expression.
      Any more tips for me?
      It takes years to master one piano and this little noted fella has many hidden secrets. Have you found anything yet no one else has??
      If so… givey!! 🤪🤗
      Pweeze??

      @@ceririchards6725 Yeah the keys aren't great, though I've not had any loosen yet and I take it out a couple of times a week. I don't mind 'cos it's "cheap and cheerful". The Casiotone CT-S1000V keyboard action is a big improvement, so they've obviously listened to users. I have a PSR.-SX900 and it's a much better keyboard, though in some ways I now prefer the CT-S1000V as the keys are textured. Then again, I have to play all kinds of different keyboards (old uprights, grands, church organs etc) - so I just get on with it. It's like wearing shoes - after a while the pain goes away!

      Oh yeah!!!😜
      But I must say… the CTX3000 is an 80s built in beat machine !!😉😜 woohoo!! 😆 fab
      That’s why I love it so much as I’m am 80s teen. 💪😆
      Thanks Stewart. Now..
      Any Song request offers??
      I’ll name it in 1 🤗🤣

    Can the clock be synced externally?

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, unfortunately not. There's no clock sync in or out. One of the negatives of the keyboard, and I hope they add that in future updates. Direct audio recording to a USB drive would be nice too

    • @sanakassara

      @@StewartWallaceSJWMusic Oh, ok. Well, guess I just have to set the bpm manually then to match my other gear and try to play accordingly. Just placed an order for one yesterday. I thought that the clock signal would get sent through the MIDI to USB brick when making the Casio slave for a controller, but we always can't have everything.
