    Yes, you can save "patches" and share them, but these are based on the functions and parameters of the keyboard. Tones can be edited at a basic level, and you can customize them to a degree, especially messing with DSP FX. And then these edits can be named and saved.

    Good stuff! This keyboard is packed with tons of features for the money. Wonder if future updates will allow audio over usb.

      There are several features missing but I agree for the money it's hard to beat. And the deficiencies can be overcome in other ways. 🎶

      @@StewartWallaceSJWMusic agreed! Keep up the great videos!
      Question - I’m new to this particular keyboard. Can custom 3rd party sounds be loaded into it?

    I'm interested in your discoveries. These two functions are fairly easy to use.

    Good morning my name is Sebastian, I'm in Brazil and I watched your video about harmonizer and arpeggiator on casio ctx5000/3000. I would like to know if I can use arpeggiator to create rhythms. In this case how to do it?

    Its nice to have the auto harmonize button i play a ct 370 from 1980 and it sounds amazing in a song i play.

      Absolutely - it's often overlooked as a function on keyboards but the left hand is doing something similar by triggering "extra notes" so why not the melody line? Recently I've been using it on some Christmas carols and it helps to really fill out the sound.

    Thanks appreciate your instructions, how do you revert back to a different setting, ie, do you have to reinstall a new set of instructions to go back to a previous setting thanks

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your feedback and question. I'm not sure what you mean, but if you save a setting within a Registration Bank location, then the next one can be different, and so on. If you start to run out of space (there are 16 banks with 8 slots per bank), then you can save Banks onto a USB pen drive.
      I hope that helps, but if it doesn't come back to me. All the best.

      @@StewartWallaceSJWMusic thanks Stewart, sorry to be unclear, I’m just waiting for my ctx3000 to arrive so doing some homework first, think what I’m asking is , “ if you install a lot of different settings creating a song sound, ie , tone, voicing, rhythm style, harmonies etc and you don’t want to save them , can you just exit them all and go back to a basic start or do all those settings remain active for the next song you want to create . Really appreciate your time to answer my questions, thanks again 👍

      @@backplomer As you set up for a song nothing is saved until you start to record. You can also make changes once you've started to record. To be honest, I would probably set up and save a registration patch to begin with, and use that as my starting point for a song, and recall that.
      I hope you have fun once the keyboard arrives. Casio are launching something new in January, so it will be interesting to see if they've listened to users feedback - hopefully they will produce a manual we can all understand!

      @@StewartWallaceSJWMusic Thanks heaps for your reply, that clears it up, I’ve watched quite a few of your vids and must admit some of the more in-depth ones are quite mind boggling,, I had enough trouble clarifying my question to you let alone writing an in depth manual 😂, I know what I struggle with in all the gadgets I use is , realising or comprehending that each button push does something and is maintained when you push another button and keep adding to the construction of the overall or finished sound, if you can understand what I’m trying to say 😵‍💫😵‍💫but like anything you either know it or you don’t, in my industry a bit like trying to explain to an 80 yr old lady how to tune a tv over the phone 😂😂 again appreciate all your work and I’ll be watching every one step by step 💯💯🎹🎹👍👍

    On the other hand, is it possible to slow down the arpeggiattor independently of the automatitic rhythm?

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Sebastian, you can use the arpeggiator to create rhythms. Just choose a drum set tone (765-800). You will have to work out which notes you want to press for the sounds. As an example, 1. Select drum set 765. 2. Turn on the arpeggiator. 3. Choose Arp type 149 (LatinPf1). 4. Set the tempo (e.g. 100 BPM) and play any notes. Middle F#, G#, A# sound good to me. You could combine that with a rhythm pattern (e.g. 097 Samba 1) at the same time for some fun and creativity.
      Regarding arpeggiator independence, the tempo setting controls the speed of the rhythms and the arpeggiator. But you can get some weird polyrhythm type effects if you start the rhythm pattern going and then play your notes slightly out of sync.
      I hope that helps!

    Hello! How can I play arpeggiator only left hand is this keyboard?

    • @StewartWallaceSJWMusic
      @StewartWallaceSJWMusic  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yep - it's quite straight forward. It can be set to L1 (i.e. a lower keyboard split) 1. Press FUNCTION, R arrow 4 times, press ENTER, set value to "2 Arpeg." 2. Press R arrow 4 times. Set value to "2 Lower 1" 3. Long press EXIT. 4. Press AUTO HARMONIZE/ARPEGGIATOR button. "ARPEGGIATOR" should appear on the display. Change the type of arpeggio if necessary with a long press. 5. Press SPLIT button. "L1" should appear in the screen. Play notes below the split point and now you have arpeggios in the left hand. Finally, it's good to save that in a REGISTRATION for instant recall.
