Initially Anas was doing a great job and I loved him till he illfully entrapped the judge with goat and the subsequent exposee I sat down watched all line by line and realised there was a missing link in his videos. That was when I lost my respect for him and his works.

How do you call what happened entrapment? Or I'm not getting the meaning of entrapment correctly? As a judge, geeez your position is next to GOD. You can make or un-make a person. . You're supposed to be the very definition of purity. So, how do you accept "gifts" from people who have got cases in your court? Logically, it doesn't make sense for anyone to even posit that this is entrapment. Only in Ghana will folks say this.

If this ruling had been given in the U.S., the judge would have gone further to confiscate all his assets, including the cash account of Anas to Ghana. The judge says Anas is corrupted and has benefited from his work so the judge should have given everything Anas got from his investigations to the state. That's why I love U.S. judges. They are bold, courageous, and brave.

The Law requires that one know his accusers not hide behind face mask. 3. Methods used in securing the truth is big in cases, because of human rights. We need to strengthen institutions and allow them to work. That is what is done in do democracies.

Hence, it takes someone like Anas digging out some of these folks irrespective of the measures used to serve as a corrector. I've listened to cases here in the US where alcohol is even used to induce folks to determine whether or not they will divulge certain secrets.
Also, the judge's pronouncement and name-calling indicates a personal vendetta against Anas. Yes, if he found that all the facts provided in court are unsubstantiated, he can rule whichever way he chooses, buy the verbiage used indicates a personal vengeance of sorts.

I believe where you are it’s the institutions ie fbi police, border and coast guards ATF, ATA etc that look into and enforce the law . journalist have their role. They not law enforcement. Fortunately we have judges who can read between lines and ensure that rule of Law, civil rights and other democratic principles are adhere to in the jungle.

I believe that if most of our leaders/judges/people in positions of power were in Joseph's shoes when Portipher's wife seduced him, they would have slept with her and said "she trapped me". The style used by Ana's is cheap and wrong. You don't trigger ppl with huge sums of money and expect ppl not to fall victim. Its possible to black mail ppl after having them on a tape.
There is a reason why international companies dealing with Ghanaian entities always insist that future litigation should not be adjudicated in Ghanaian courts but in English tribunals.
These international companies always insist on express terms barring Ghanaian courts in their matters.
No one cares. This has nothing to do with international companies. International companies would prefer their home country to adjudicate litigation against them anyway. This is common sense.

If you have a judicial system which is not trustworthy, transatlantic matters will never be adjudicated within it.
If international companies deal with Malaysian entities in performing contracts in Malaysia including its government, they are pleased to use Malaysian courts. Simple.
If cases like Anas V Kennedy Agyapong go through your court, part or tangentially adjudicated by an international body and the severest punishment is metered out a la Kwasi Nyantekyi and the Ghanaian court go against all the legal principles and jurisprudence, looked upon by the diplomatic missions they will never use your courts to adjudicate any matter.
London tribunals will always be emphatically chosen to litigate such matters and it is adding a lot income to their service sector because all over the world, their judicial system is known to be fair.
For instance transatlantic matters where Ghana deals in oil, logistics companies involved always choose London to litigate and the country pays huge commissions for this purpose. This is what enables people like Fui Tsikata to make a lot of money because he sits on a lot of these Tribunals in London and Ghana pays a lot of money similar to judgement debt. I know that the Attorney Generals Department pays a lot of these monies because the London tribunals are not bent. The AGs department prefers to pay heavy debt than to encounter embarrassment at the hands of these judges.
These are not matters with UK companies only. but even with Greek companies. If you look around, it is normally Turkish and Indian companies who do not bother that much because they indulge in corrupt practices with Ghanaian's against Ghana anyway.

I'm not sure anyone is talking about him being clean. What you're overlooking is that as a government official being paid from tax payers money, you shouldn't even be tempted to accept any form of gift. If you do, you must declare it to the Ghana revenue authority and pay tax on it. That's what the constitution says. So those crying about Anas entrapping them have just been caught with their hands in the cookie jar.

I see a lot of people jubilating about this verdict, which is intriguing. I further went down to read the comments and I'm further intrigued and perplexed as a young lady with my thinking cap on. I read several people talk about how Anas is evil because he "entraps" people with money and then secretly records them. I've always been of the assertion that, if I am Anas' wife, I'd strongly advocate that he relocates outside the country and use his skills to better a different country. Because the Ghanaians he's trying to seek transparency for are not worth it.
For the ignorant ones, please understand one thing, when you're in a position of power/influence it is unethical of you to accept any form of Monetary gains for discharging your duties. Even if the person pushes it down your throat, you push it out and report them to the police. In a serious country like the U.S., that's what they'll do. Try giving a cop $20 when he pulls you over for a traffic violation. We claim to want justice but we don't seem to understand what that justice means, we say we want to end corruption, but we are clueless about what that means. A pity!

Maybe in Ghana, people are forced to commit crimes but I know here in the U.S. even when you try giving a police officer any form of monetary gift, you'll be arrested and jailed. How does the court acknowledge that Kennedy Agyapong has no evidence to back his claims about Anas, and, for that reason dismiss the case. It is for that very reason why Kennedy Agyapong should be found guilty of defamation. This is mind blowing.
And Ghanaians are happy about this, and at the same time wonder why our justice system doesn’t work as well as it’s suppose to.
