Criminality is everywhere, both the developed and developing countries. We live in the developed world and we know what is going on.

The issue of taking gift is not a crime in certain jurisdictions. Is there any law that bars the president of GFA from taking a gift? If there is then Kwesi Nyantekyi was wrong. If not then you cannot criminalise the gift that the GFA president accepted.
The former governor of Virginia was jailed because according to the laws of that state, he was not allowed to accept a gift. It doesn't mean every gift taken in any country on earth is a crime.
If we think some people are taking advantage of their positions to receive too much gifts we can make a law to stop that. Until that is done, you cannot criminalise the taking of gift. It's as simple as that.
Can i force you to take bribe to favour or to do something for me? Is bribe by force. If, i am able to convince you to take money or gift to influence you, to do something for me and you take it., what do you call that?
The one giving the bribe and the one taking the bribe are all guilty. So the one giving the bribe don't have any right to disgrace the one taking it
