These 392 seem to keep on multiplying. We actually built this Jeep a few years ago for a customer Dave. That Dave sold it to another Dave, and Dave #2 wanted one tons. So here we are!

I just looked and as far as I can tell Poison Spyder is still in business. My wife and I have most of their armor on our JKUs with line x and love there products. Hell I’ve killed 4 deer all at high way speeds with no damage to the Jeep just fur

It’s under different ownership & they quit making several of its products. Especially on the 1997-2006 TJ/LJ Jeeps. The new company is from either China or somewhere in that geographic area. It’s no longer the mom & pop company.

I keep the oil changed every 10k in my 392. AMSOIL. Fingers crossed. I wish I could afford that set up. Sweet!

I personally like the wider more aggressive stance.

So the e locker is working with the factory switch? I thought e lockers were having problems with that system not providing enough voltage to run the e locker. How did you make it work correctly then ? Beautiful 392

I have found the same issue to be true. Next time will go to ARB lockers since they have upgraded their lockers to not fail as often as they once did. They have up’d their game in the locker business, BUT in the mean time until I switch to an air locker, I did some “redneck engineering” now it works every time & that is I used a brand name 18V battery used on tools. I wired my rear locker & threaded the heat-proof covered cord tightly underneath & through my glovebox & added a switch & was able to store the battery & everything in the box. The 18V has not failed.

Question: Why do y’all prefer the wheels/tires closer in? Is there a driveline reason, just personal preference, or what?
I was just wondering because I personally like the wider more aggressive stance look & I think it’s more practical because it gives you a little more security of not tipping over.

Yeah of course! In this case, we tend to favor less offset to get a tighter scrub radius. When steering we want the wheels to steer without swinging out and creating a large arch. It allows your rig to steer more easily, especially in rough offroad applications. Having a tighter scrub radius is also going to make your steering components last a lot longer. In the way of width, this Jeep is plenty wide, less offset is not going to bring any instability. Here is a cool article about it. www.drivingline.com/articles/steering-you-straight-what-is-wheel-offset-and-scrub-radius/

@@wfoconcepts thank you so much. I’ve asked questions to other TH-cam channels & I have never received an article where I can actually read it & re-read certain areas I may not understand immediately. Y’all are awesome!!! Thank you. Another topic I’m doing research on to learn more about is Bumpsteer. I knew the steeper angle on the tie rod increased your bumpsteer, but I learned recently it’s because it shortens the distance to your steering part of the axle. So if I purchase an adjustable tie rod & push it out more, that will help with bumpsteer. I’m not new to owning Jeeps, but I am fairly new to wheeling them (1 yr) & I figured out real quick, if I want to wheel long term, I must learn the physics & learn how to fix what I break, because I can’t afford to have it in the shop all the time. Plus, I’ve really enjoyed actually knowing what experts are talking about & me actually seeing my hard work of working on my Jeep & it driving better. I just completed a huge task for me & that was completely taking all of my front steering components off, replacing the OEM ball joints with heavy duty rebuildable ball joints, & replacing new aftermarket steering knuckles, brakes, 2.5-ton tie rod, drag link, recentering my axles & now I have no more death wobble!!! Stuff y’all do everyday, but it took me approx. 2 weeks during my off time & having to watch & rewatch several TH-cam channels to get it just right. I’m just a little type A OCD 🤣. I love y’all’s channel / videos…especially the Christmas Specials😉 of different vehicles.
