Excellent fish and a great video. I've fished with Neil before and he is one of the best Salmon fishers in the business. Great to see him with a true monster. Well done all.
magnificent fish and coolness personified. The fish was handled with great care and sensitivity, well done sir! We have sadly watched in despair huge fish on this river being dragged up banks or pushed with boots and then felled with no thought of conservation or respect.
@@hughcoulson1548 Hugh your optimism is understood as you treated this fish carefully. Do you really think most of the fish you brought to the bank survived and continued up river to spawn? The odds are not in the fishes favor.
We carry out extensive radio tagging, blood sampling, stress hormone sampling and can say with high confidence the fish went on to successfully spawn and suffered no long term damage from its experience. Several fish were also caught more than once, in these trials. Worth doing your home work on these things which clearly you have not.
@@doctoredable can you base your opinion on any knowledge? If the fish died we would find them washed up on the banks, as stated we tag the fish and can freely see them moving up and down the river system. So Edward, I’m afraid your opinion is no way based in reality.
Complete beast of a fish. I'd love to get over there and have a crack at a true monster! Great stuff. Doesn''t matter what you've caught you always want to go a bit bigger!

Dayumm!!! What a fight 😁👌
What a fish!!!!!
I wonder if the fish lived to spawn after such a trauma.
Yes no problem. I tagged 60 fish that season which all spawned successfully,
