You were definitely in the right in telling the client the truth and also right not to throw the husband out the window because the window would have been costly to replace.
I’ve had this exact conversation with clients, explaining that I can’t just rush through a piece as fast as they’d like or do certain pieces that they want because I have to ensure that it’s done properly to protect MY reputation as an artist, they can always go somewhere else! Haha
As an artist its allway best to remember that One bad piece holds more weight on your name than 10 solid pieces . Negativity always spreads faster and farther than positivity .
