- Most badminton players only use a lunge or china jump when they go to the forehandside and lunge or scissor jump on the backhandside of their rear court. I think it is super important to have a lot more options in terms of footwork so i tried to make a complete guide with 12 different patterns (6 per side) that can all be useful depending on the situation and the pressure you have.
In case you missed it, here is my front court footwork tutorial: • Frontcourt Footwork: F...

Can realize the amount of effort that you put into your quintessential tutorials, they're the best!
It is next-level to use footage from your own matches. Really awesome to see. Another great video Tobias!
Thank you Sigurd!
This is so detailed! Amazing quality video Tobias. Extremely useful.
Very detaild instruction. Please keep posting. Thank you!
For the interception step I think its good for when the shuttle is not too far behind you, where are able to still hit a quality shot without lunging and contacting heel first. I heard from another coach that landing with just the toes in this kind of interception step can lead to a faster recovery than landing with the heel, I think you did a very good job demonstrating it in this video!😀
Very helpful video sirr!
Love from india 🇮🇳 ❤
I learned a lot from your video, Thanks so much Coach Tobias.
It is interesting to watch smaller players like Akane Yamaguchi cover the court. She uses a lot of cross steps to gain reach I think. She is also very strong and can jump to the sides, then bounce back. Women use the forehand more on the non-dominant backcourt, so it is interesting to see how then use the hop and pivot to set up the forehand. Few of us are flexible enough to bend and reach those shots. Great video as always. Thanks for the high qualiy, clear video and your game footage.
Hi. I’ve really liked your videos on movement. It would be nice to have a video for midcourt movement as well. And transition moves. Especially with a more mixed doubles (men) focus. I find it hard to cover the area behind the woman while being able to attack lifts. Also this kind of detailed videos on basic shots/swings would be nice. Going from the grip to how to train them effectively. For me at least I find it hard to produce a smooth swing while being relaxed. The racket feels like it spins or my arm gets too tense.
Very smooth man, thanks
You are my inspiration👍👍
saw that u changed from arc11 to arc11 pro. really want u make a video comparing them
I will do that 👍
I want that too
Yes, yes, me too!
Super useful, thank you
Amazing video ❤
Undoubtedly the best badminton rear court video out there… Thank you sooo much for making it❤
You are welcome, thanks for your kind words 🫶😊
Thank you for the video Sir
much appreciated !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really good video👍
Can you add correction steps for the Rear Court as as you did for the Frontcourt Footwork video? (when in defense)
Best video i didn't ever seen , Quality ⚡
Thank you 🤩
Would you do a tutorial on different kinds of backhand drop shots?? 🤔🤔 your backhand shots are incredibly beautiful and smooth.
Great video. I realize that, I'm always late to the rear corner coming from the center position, when my opponent does a fast driving clear.
best video Tobias, You teach better than badminton insight, tbh.
Thank you 🫶
very useful
Thx so much
Hi Tobias great video, love the fact that you add the recovery.
But why do you choose for the cross behind at the first 2, late, shots? You are late so I would think you do chassee? Can you elaborate a bit on this? Regards!
i think you should use a chasse when in a lot of pressure, Doo cross behind when under less pressure.
Big fan
Tobias never disappoint with content. Brother got a shoulder injury last Friday, unable to play the game. Took rest for 3 days. Went to pysio also.
😎Any tip to restart the play quickly
Thank you and I wish you a quick recovery! Great that you went to a physio right away. Pretty sure he can give you some good recommendations about rehab and restart
@@tobiaswadenka8435 thanks for the reply
Can you make a video on how to improve reaction time
Hey can you make a video on gym , i mean what exercise we can perform to be better
Can you make a video with some footwork drills?
Hello Tobias,
Thank you for all your videos !
Can u make a video about the low backhand serve in doubles and singles plz ? 😊😊
Have a nice day
You mean about the technique or more about tactics?
@@tobiaswadenka8435 Both of them ! First i thought about the technique but the tactics around the serve can be very interesting 😊
The problem is, how do you know when you should follow up after a smash? What if your opponent has really good defense and play a long return instead?
If your smash is a little loose, try to take one side step then push off and follow up according to the shuttle.
Can you make a video on drills that can we perform individually
Hi i wanted to know for beginners which shot should i practice first thankyou in advance:)
I would start practicing underhand shots like lifts and soft pushes in combination with grip changes

And also i want schedule of 7 days like routine that we can follow
Super hard to do that, because it depends on so many different factors. That's why you can't make a plan or routine that fits for everybody
@@tobiaswadenka8435 but can suggest some so from that we learn something and we can make .
@@tobiaswadenka8435 bro can tell gym for badminton . I mean is there anyday seprated for gym like leg day , hand day . Or we can do all gym exercises in every day routine
Let's try that again at 50% speed.
