It's nice to see that New York is building affordable apartments.
LOL!
yeah really was thinking "hey that's a cool design" then he said the price and I nearly choked
😂
🤣😂🤣👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
$16,000/month? Make it make sense.
It can't. New York City is the place where making sense goes to....not live anymore. I'm not sure what can and cannot say/write on TH-cam
It's affordable if you share it with a couple hundred other people!
It will never make sense to me.
I read this comment while the ad was playing 😂😂😂
West Chelsea, Highline, new luxury, high ceiling, gimmicky. Enough said.
And, this my dears is the reason that the CEOs, shareholders, etc., yell and scream when there's any hint of talk regarding the minimum wage being raised to where it rightly should be in 2023 (a living wage), and the landlords/property owners charge you $3,000 and UP for a studio (which you need to share with a roommate).
Because this is the way they and their adult offspring are living.😮
And this why I'm keeping my rent stabilized 11 months of forgiven debt tiny roach infested apartment even tho the building price tripled since last 5 yrs
sooner or later you'll find me sleeping in a car with a mini router for my devices while I live at work and shit, shave and shower at random hellscapes and it would still not be WORSE than the hellish first 2 decades of my fucking life
I swear one day I'll die homeless on the street willingly of an overdose
you realize raising the minimum of something increases the average right?
Better to either get a girlfriend to share a bed with. Or not live in New York City at all
@bluesquirrel3919 agreed 💯. Corporate greed is cancerous to anyone not earning executive level compensation. We are cogs in their decadent wheel.
REALTOR: "It's $16,000 a month".
ME: "Do you have anything more in my price range? Like $16,000 a YEAR".
Mine is 3600 a Yr
@@audie-cashstack-uk4881🎉
All you need to do is work 3 Jobs to pay the rent.
Absolutely not! The rent is insanely ridiculous. Sigh. 🤦🏾♂️
yeah the place is beautiful but even splitting the rent with a roommate you are still paying almost 8K a month, that's nuts even for NYC prices
I can't even find a job that's willing to pay me for my hrs so I can afford $5k A YEAR rent
I LOVE the design inside. I want that cat lamp! But $15,000 is ridiculous.

I miss the days when New York was affordable for regular, middle class folks. I was one of them but have since moved on.
There are time where I think I can make sense of NYC and then I realize that for 4k less I can buy a home 4 times the size AND have my yacht docked behind it and still have a private pool. I just don’t understand that city I really and truly done.
You can understand if you realize not everyone wants what you want and would spend on different things if you both had the same money.
@@653j521 NY; if WHERE you live in more important that WHAT you live in.
Manhattan is for the rich only now.
16,000 is also the price per month for a penthouse, or a big mortgage payment
all that space and the paper towel is being stored under the bed!
So, if I had to pay $15,000 a month, I want to own it, not rent
I totally agree.
It's another pyramid scam for rich to hack into lie living and be infinity rich
They want suckers who has no eye for building and design or anything to live there in that hideous lighting that broke every feng shui there is to exist
It's so ugly
Yes, how much did they cost to buy? Don’t know anything about US mortgages. How expensive a property could you get if you could repay $15000 per month?
That one, extra zero has to be a mistake!!!
@@grigorisgirl $2,000 a month probably goes to the building maintenance. But the apartment itself is probably around 3 million now
Cash! Makes some night apt tours!!! We want to see how they look like at night with this night NY views please!
I’d love to, but my camera can’t do night vision :(
No, Cash, a city is dangerous enough daytime. Leave the nights alone. But I did read that murder was down by 23% in NYC. You and your little family are worth more than night tours. And we'd miss you and your great videos, your humor and seeing the apartments and sights through your eyes. You make the mundane fascinating somehow. Better than coffee in the mornings.
.
"who doesn't take off their shoes, it's gross?" Mind you as he's standing inside someone's potential bathtub with sneakers on.... Lololol 🤣🤣
PUHLEZZE Cash, you know damn well before you married a Japanese woman, you didn't take off your shoes either...LOL
"Who doesn't take off their shoes? That's gross!"--says our guy who regularly climbs into pristine white bathtubs with his filthy sneakers. LOL! Okay, I REALLY like this! It is a large enough but small enough space that creates a warm & cozy feeling. I know that a lot of that feeling/environment is because of the furnishings too but those views and those windows... (sigh) just peaceful... I LOVED THAT LIBRARY/OFFICE ROOM!!! There are many interior design ideas to take from this clip! But... no ma'am, no sir, I would never rent a space like this for $16K/month. If there was an option to own, then that is something I would consider.
So True 🤣
Maybe we can rent the library room! Lol
@@MamaCarola1 Ya know... connect to a bathroom, and throw in a two-burner hotplate, I could work with it as a cute little studio.
@sinash don't forget the wine fridge darling!
@@MamaCarola1 Oh honey, that's a standard priority appliance. It ranks higher than a fridge and most definitely higher than an oven/stove unit!
5,000 sq.ft. for a third of the price where I live. There’s no way I’d ever live in NYC, but I’ll visit and still watch these videos. Thanks Cash!
And that's still expensive for some places, lol. I don't know what it's like where you live, but people boast the location here for it being that price (imo not worth it)
Built on the plot where the Roxy nightclub used to be. I'd love to live there because I'm always in the Hudson River Park.
Always wondered what the inside of those apartments was like. Whoever owns it did a nice job with storage solutions. Finishes are definitely high end quality. Love that hanging egg chair. & the 2nd bedroom-office-whatever with the bookshelves & library ladder. Just surprised that they didn't have sliders on it to make it easier to move. $15K in that neighborhood isn't surprising at all. I can just imagine the selling price.
I wondered if the condo board allowed any unit owner to rent it out. If it does, future owners beware!!
At 16k a month you shouldn’t have to worry where everything is going to go.
7:59 that's actually drywall with normal wooden studs, the carrier (water tank) is bolted in between the two studs so it's fine.
also those toilets are everywhere in eruope cause they're modern and very low maintenance, the water tank is build from the same material as your car's gas tank.
I always remember seeing Samantha Jones saying her rent/mortgage for a Meatpacking District studio was $7000 pm on SATC, in 2001, and that very day I knew New York was a league of its own 😂 But all that being said this place is nice.
It is but I can’t imagine paying the prices in New York but my friend lives there and she said people sacrifice because they have a dream acting singers like she went to live in New York because of fashion and now she is a fashion designer and works on Dior’s creations 😃
@@tiffanycurtis4794seriously?! Could you tell her to tell Dior to PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD BRING BACK MISS DIOR CHERIE!!
Cash was really comfortable in this apartment! 🤣😂 The furniture must be included because he tried everything-foot massage and all!
I was expecting something that looked like a generic sleeping pod on the Space Station, but that was surprisingly warm and inviting. My tastes still run toward a prewar classic six, mind you.
Same here especially for $16k!
As fancy as this bathroom and kitchen is, and as expensive the place is, this apartment is awfully normal looking. Looks livable.
Phil is the coolest guy. You should have him on more of your videos.
Love the library/office/den/media/entertainment room. Got me measuring stuff like I got funds to put a library ladder in my living room
😂
Isn't that room amazing? I think it's the best area of the apartment. Looked fantastic in person.
I miss the neighborhood tours being part of every video
At a glance... I can see why he didn't really do a neighborhood tour, apartment looks like its a world on its own tbh.
there is plenty nearby... on the west yoou have riverside park along the Hudson river. and Chelsea to the East with Restaurants and services and due South the MeatPacking disctrict with more restaurant and bars... the new Whitney museum is skip away... but I think the apartment is a bit grander than what Cash typically showcases... maybe he had to choose between showing the "hood" or the WHOLE apartment LOL
@@oyvey764 he could just make it a few minutes longer. It's not like there's a time limit
@@puremichpaule maybe he was tired after walking that apartment and trying every piece of furniture??? lol
didn't he tour the neighborhood part on another vid already. I seem to remember those windows from another video. Not a regular viewer btw.. But yeah, maybe put a link in the description of that other vid
The design and decor is gorgeous!
great storytelling
Learning from the best
They keep building more prices even higher yet people are leaving New York.I do not get it. I do not love the fact that all those people in other buildings can see everything you do.
they can't see because it's a one way window, you can see out but people can't see in.
Yet, there's a ton of empty office buildings that could be converted into housing...
Built three years ago?! From the exterior, it looks like its the 70's or 80's.
I remember Cash always commenting about these in his vids on the Highline. He finally gets to tour it!
I think Cash has more fun playing in these furnished places than viewing the actual space itself 😅
Awesome job cash see you on Sunday
This is my dream home ! Small, cozy , modern and well ventilated
15,000 a month (wholly crapola)
Cash just makes me happy love this channel since the beginning ❤️
Phil is a cool dude.I would buy an apartment from him.😎
Oscar, I'm at your service whenever you need me! 🏢
I ACTUALLY thought that his name was "Justin Time" 😂😂
2:15 Oh, no, though. I want my shoes to be on FULL DISPLAY LOL. I'm staring at 14 pairs of them as I type this. Sitting at my kitchen table
Ridiculous that anyone would pay $16K for that! It's an OK apartment but not even that special. People deserve better for much less.
In 5 years almost $1 million for rent. This is borderline criminal 😂
16k per month and the shoe cabinet is IKEA 👍😂
Hahaha, exactly what I thought when I saw that!
You gotta make saving somewhere. 😂😂😂
That laundry closet looks like a fire hazard with all that crap around the washer and dryer.
The clutter in the cabinets tells a lot about the pricey place…
This is Gonna b so Cool CJ🔥🔥🔥👍n Happy Thursday😀….
Phil sounded a little overwhelmed about the comfort of the bean bag
This place is crazy expensive. Love the video as always and this time Cash had no option but to take his shoes off. 😅
1:37 notice the nail polish storage shelves. I installed some custom ones in my own bedroom, but they're wooden 👍
Love the apartment. Do Not love the price!!YIKES!!
It would be interesting to see the place these people are moving "up to"...they definitely are out growing this one.
Hi Cash and to your friend very cool upscale pod apartment in NYC. Stay well and safe👍🍏
The exploding mattress cover building! This is going to be good!😂
I was in NYC two weeks ago and we walked by those weird buildings. Cool to see how the interiors look.
Yes I have walked by many times wondering... since the HIGH LINE opened so many high end condo were built much to my chagrin... the area has lost some of it's grit... but glad to see the inside to feed my curiosity. I would not want to live there personally but the owners sure have made good use of the space it looks "lived in" and not staged like many spaces in that price range
When I walked the High line in 2019, those buildings were going up. I don't care for the windows and the internal floorspace seems small, especially with the combined kitchen living. I would expect a seperation for that kind of rent.
So coooooooooooool!!!!!!!!! Luv luv luv
Cash, i really like this place! Thanks for showing it.
$16,000/month. NYC is insane. So happy I live only 2 hrs from the city but only pay $500/month For a 2 full bedroom apt in nepa, I used to want to live there. Now I can't get far enough away.
Love that chandelier and the building in general. 👍
Well if I owned this place and saw this vid, I'd be pissed. Gotta throw out my $200 foot massager now lol.
I love those windows from inside and out.
Cash! Once again you were on fire. The opening audio was a perfect selection for your content. Phil was great! So much relaxed confidence. He enjoyed working with you. Both of you have great on camera energy. Cash, your descriptions and choices of words amazes me. I mean that in a good way. Privatizable - wasn’t in my vocabulary until I heard it from you. 😆That’s laugh out loud material. Your audience needs humor. Your delivery is tight as is your editing.
A++
Bravo!
So glad you are introducing the NEW NYC.
Keep going!☮️👏👏👏👏
Beautiful!! 😍
Remember in old cartoons when someone would turn into a donkey when they did something stupid? That’s what should happen when someone decides to spend $15k a month on these tiny apartments. Absolutely insane.
Awesome!! ☀️🎉😎💕
Wow that's lovely
15.000 dollars tho🤔???...DAMM..it really has sufficient living space..modern..VERY cozy..they need to come down on the cost though..smdh
stunning
Very nice and very pricey !!!!
Beautiful
Gorgeous. Way out of my budget. I couldn’t even afford to buy the nail varnish or fill the medicine cabinets. But wow!
I love that 1300sqft is a "tiny home" when my condo is 1100 and also 2br/2ba.
I’m glad you were having fun. I guess this isn’t just “glamming” for the faint of heart.
Wlhat a bargain at $15,000+ a month! Just enough left over for one slice of pizza once a year...
With no toppings, those are extra 😉
What qualification and job is required to afford such an apartment and to eat?
However, the apartment would be interesting to live in.
Some neurosurgeons and cardiologists at my university make a million+ a year. I don't know if they have football in NYC, but I'm pretty sure our Big Ten coach makes over a million. So, you'd have to be doing well, but not as well as you might think. Big firm lawyers and stockbrokers could also afford it.
@@calendarpage I thought easiest would be to ask the neighbour.
New York is soon , if not already , strictly the élite and super rich and a sad pipe dream for most of your viewers. Of course that is just my opinion I understand. The only reason I am drawn to your channel is your great presentation and fun thoughts on the places you share with us and all the great ideas you are giving free lancers that want to create their own homes .
I think NYC as always been the land of 2 worlds when it comes to housing... there has long been TONS of very expensive real estate in NYC... we were simply never allowed to see inside as easily before. There are some "affordable" rentals in NYC too just not this grand... Cash has showcased many in the past. This is an extreme place and I doubt the next renter will have found it off of YouTub.... LoL
@@oyvey764 I hear you. I just picked up on Cash channel this past year. I have yet to see one that was available for the middle class renters sept 2 and they are match boxes. Never lived in NYC so I am no expert ,just going by Cash videos. Maybe he needs to get back to what is affordable? Given the times of the days we are under now? . Thank you for your comment to mine. It is great to have all ideas on the table.
I'd be too afraid of a fire to live that high up.
Oh my just love, love, love it
It reminds me of the Zeitz MOCAA building at the Cape Town Waterfont.
well designed
It's very nice.😊😊😊😊
Nice ❤
you need to earn $30K/month to spend on $16K/month on rent alone. Thats like all residents have to earn at least $500K a year. If you earn 500K a year you can get your own place and pay mortgage.
I'd be insisting on a major raise in pay with my employer to move into this apartment 😊 j/s
Very cool. Makes sense it would be on the High Line. Too bad too expensive for normals
Oh, I'm sure the owners are still basic. Just basics with a lot of money 😅
Crazy that going by the 40x rent rule you might need to make $620,000 annually to live in a pretty nice but normal 2 bed 2 bath.
Chelsea area? The Highline is one of my favorite spots, but this rent is 😳
Hello
Whoever is living in that apt have a nice setup. 3 bedroom/3 baths goes for $7.5M.
Insane!! My mortgage is a fraction of that for 5600fsf and 1/2 acre
My kitchen's storage would blow your mind, we have so much there's empty shelves 😂 I mean the scullery was excessive.... what you get when you don't live in New York City! (I live in New Zealand and my house still cost 1 million, but still, so much bigger)
wow i want to live there
WHERE CAN I GET THAT SHOE CABINEEEEEEEETTT!?!?!?!?!
IKEA, I think?
Apparently Cash couldn't even manage to put on his big boy pants to show a little respect to the guy showing him the units.
Phil......is VERY cute. Nice place too.
$16,000 a month is fucking insane. NYC is beyond crazy
Phil to Cash….don’t worry I got the bosh measuring tool 😂😂. I absolutely LOVE this apartment. I’m sure there’s a “maintenance fee” that goes with that rent.
Actually, not in this case -- the owner of the apartment covers the maintenance (common charges and taxes) and the tenant "only" pay the rent. Which I recognize is significant, but bear in mind this apartment is worth around $3,000,000!
Hard tile floor + I have a dog (who by definition tracks in whatever she walks through outside) = wearing shoes downstairs (because going barefoot would hurt and be gross).
what a lovely apartment but how do normal people afford 16000 a month, just sounds absolutely absurd to me
These are very high earners and very wealthy investors. Prob power couples!
I have gotta say I don’t think I would want someone using my personal foot massager unless of course it was Cash. Lol. Nice Apt. They made use of every inch of space. Nice. I think I would want more of an open view though.
It's not illegal, but "legal" stove vents are supposed to stick out to catch the fumes from the front vents.
Oh lookee! It’s got it’s own IKEA shoe cabinet in the hallway.
Hola. Por que en los apartamentos que muestran nunca muestran si dispone de parqueadero para uno o mas autos y si cerca al lugar de vivienda se consigue donde alquilar parqueaderos por meses.
hello, hello
I seen these while I was walking on the High Line... imagine paying 16k a month to have thousands of people being able to peek in your home lmao.. and these windows are close asf. You can climb out and land your leg on the high line walk.
Nice :)
