Dyeing My Daughter's Honey Brown Hair to Copper with Henna! A DIY Henna Ombre!

  • My daughter has been asking to dye her hair with henna for a long time. Her natural hair color is pretty blonde and as she's gotten older her hair has gotten more brown with time. So to compromise, we decided to do a henna ombre on her!
    Super easy hair coloring with henna and fun to do something with my daughter. Want to see more videos with Matinah? What do you think of her the color outcome?
    Disclaimer: This was a just for fun experiment between myself and Matinah. I don't do ombres nor bayalage professionally. We just wanted to do something dramatic and fun together.
    This was hands down one of the most FUN videos to do. Matinah and I had a blast and if you'd like to please follow this young actress at: / matinahpender

    The color looks absolutely gorgeous but you shouldn't have put it in a ponytail because now it just looks like a straight harsh line it doesn't really blend evenly

      I have a question, and I'm sorry if it's a bit forward as I'm not sure what the most politically correct way to ask this is, but why do you wear a headscarf but not your daughter? I was always told it was most focused on modesty. For the most part I've always seen women who wear headscarfs daughters wearing them as well, but maybe it's her age, or personal preference. I'm just curious

      In parts of our fam in certain cities even toddlers proudly wear their headscarf or drag it along. Their thinking is that if not started early and as a habit kids might refuse later. I have three sons but I know the hubby would love and encourage it if we ever have a girl for our babygirl to have scarf as accessory. As our culture and particular community is proud of it in general.

    the way we all cried at the application method omg but I will try to explain the method I use when doing chemical dye, section hair into 4 sections by using the guide of a middle part from front to back and sectioning two more parts by going down on each side from the apex. then on any section use a tail comb or whatever you have and take small diagonal sections of hair. basically tease the diagonal sections to the root as much as possible, then weave through the remaining hair in the section, put the henna on and then foil. when you go to the next small section of hair, leave a bit of hair in between. honestly you can probably find lots of methods, I find this one provides nice highlights/balayage.

    I can't use hair dye as my hair always breaks out. I have been wanting to go to an darkish auburn color, but have heard that my hair will fall out but also that it might grow, and I'm honestly scared to death. I have extremely oily hair and it has to be washed everyday otherwise I look like a grease monkey.

      Amla and fenugreek. Make a mask and apply directly to your scalp and let it sit for 30min to an hour. Do this once a week. Also ditch commercial shampoo as they contain ingredients that can thin the hair. I’ve started making my own shampoo with soapnut and shikaikai with a little aloe Vera powder for moisture. My hair has been thriving.

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you. For indigo you can't add amla powder to it as indigo doesn't like anything acidic or it won't work properly. Aloe vera powder is okay for indigo. I'm not familiar with curd sorry. Aloe vera is what will help mainly with moisture and of course using a leave in afterwards.

      Hello! Right now I think Moroccan henna would be a good choice and this is what we have coming in next. Otherwise I would have said Red Raj but that comes in, in about August. When the herbs come in from India like aloe and possibly amla, you should get aloe especially so for added moisture. Amla powder if you want to maintain curls and promote hair growth or if you don't mind no amla (as amla can also tone down some of the red). Thank you so much! • @TracyD2
    @TracyD2 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    I was just thinking on placing another order. I need more indigo. The last crop I used wasn’t dark enough for me. Do you know when you will be getting a different crop? I know it probably is hard to say in the current climate. Your daughter is beautiful and her hair looks beautiful as well. If my hair was lighter I would did something similar more of a dip dye.

    • @HennaSooq
      @HennaSooq  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The next crop of indigo we get in, should be by August. They'll also be in new pouches rather then boxes! Yes it's really hard to get things from India right now because they are one of the countries with the top cases of COVID19 so it's very slow. Thank you so much for watching!

      If the daughter wants to dye her hair in various shade via normal hair dye. She have to wait till her hair is much longer and cut it off. Henna hair is hard to get out. Want to change the hair in different shade. Henna is worth it. But the mom and daughter like it well I respect them. But the day wants to Change the hair color she’s has to wait to grow her hair out and cut her hair out. Henna has several shade ( that good) but normal hair dye have more.
