Inspector PIERRE AKA Columbo of the RV inspection business. Always looking for the clues that show the real problems...great video with real things shown.
I remember Matts reviews , he was showing a Nexus RV at the MFG , and he had a Nexus rep showing and talking about how they made a structure with steel , also the says they do a rain test on every unit before they go out the door . If that's what they do , it makes me wonder if that RV was in a crash and had front end damage that knock everything out of place with the sides pop out just enough to let water in . . My first glimpse on the was the Duramax diesel motor would have me run away so fast that you can my runners leaving rubber on the payment . From being a trucker for over 30 years I really got to know enough about motors to keep away from and Duramax is on my top of the list to keep away from and here is why . my co worker bought a brand new 2012 GMC 1 ton , with a Duramax diesel , within 3 years the fuel injectors had to replace 2 times , cost her $ 40,000.00 to repair it. and losing 2 or 3 months pay . Here in Canada if a person can do a vin check to find out what year it was made and can find out if was in any accidents . That would be a good start for anybody to do before you buy .
Amen Pierre! Quality, especially high quality, is critical in providing a complete and actionable inspection report to a client. Your "walking around with a clipboard" comment killed me. I go to Inspector school in September, and then I need to go to the Pierre School of Excellence! Another great video, thank you so much!
Leave that piece of junk right there with that dealer! Another great inspection and y’all saved their butt for sure. Still looking, will be in touch. How do you change the date of manufacture isn’t it on the sticker?
We love watching your videos. You guys are the number one. ❤❤❤ I would not purchase absolutely appalling workmanship. I would be so afraid to travel in this crap.I wouldn't even let a cockroach travel In that junk, shame on the manufacturer.
C4BO, good thing I have my running shoes on! As for what year this is I will refer to what the owner of a RV dealership once told me, if it is not current year then you are buying a used coach.
Ready for immediate delivery 60 days ( after inspection and repairs ). Pitiful workmanship. We will sell you a 22 model and call it a 2024. What will the title say ?
It can sustain that wall easily. It's always about the initial structure and install right? They are committed to better every aspect of our assessment right away!
Never seen a Chevy Silverado front end so that is cool. Did I see that the frige was in the bedroom? I don't understand why they do not go ahead and buy this because according to the door sticker this baby is ready for immediate delivery!
How about looking for someone that stays around the west coast? Most inspectors in this area come and go because they are seasonal. If these rigs are a bust like this can you give us the VIN so we don’t get this rig?
We had a local couple not too long ago that applied 🙄 unteachable and thought their process was flawless. A glimpse of their report said otherwise 🤨 We're hoping for a great team coming soon 🙏
August of 2022 is considered a next years model by all vehicle manufacturers, so this is a 2023. NOT two model years old, just one model year. Still, what a junker!
There's already schools out there teaching the base and essential...with our endorsement program, we bring interested people, a notch above the basics thought in these schools. Ethics, structure and mechanical wasn't address enough IMHO.
I hate to say it but Nexus should be part of Thor because they are junk from the first day they came out and now they are right where you would expect I don't see them lasting much longer. The family that hired you both was doing their homework so they didn't get BURNED. Great job as usual.
They cannot fake registration paperwork. They can put it on your invoice description as a 2024...wait till you resell it and the next buyer is smarter then you and show you how you got screwed and you have an old RV 🤣
As a customer, I would Thank you and Run! This is a Monday build, a total junk, and the dealer is covering it up. Lies upon lies all the leaves built up in the engine bay and this was ready for immediate delivery?

Those issues can be fixed... but if the customer had driven away with that unit, soon they would have had an issue. Then they would sell the issue to an unsuspecting new RV buyer.

Can't put a dollar value on this type of inspection. It can really save your a** because once you sign on the dotted line.....you own it. Sad when an inspection is more important on a new RV than a used one.
I’m sorry but at least when you bought a Suzuki or a Yugo, you knew it wasn’t purchased for HIGH QUALITY. Nexus is the new Coleman right? Cause this one look as low quality as you can get. Frame flex on slides are issues waiting to happen. Thank god they brought in Blue Ox, dear lord if they didn’t the issues they would have found in the future
Something really shady going on here. If it came from the factory with all those repairs having been made not right, General had no business accepting it. If it got damaged on the lot or in transit, no way it should be trying to be sold as new. Almost seems to me that this unit was sent back to the factory, a bunch of shoddy repair work was done and then sold back to the dealer at a discount.
I expected more from a small company like Nexus. Hate to say this, but overall, this is a real piece of shit. I would stay away from this brand completely. Such a shame as it could be a great unit with a nice floorplan.
Exactly...on all points I agree with you! In one of the comments, ( Steve Murray) someone linked a video (a minute long) of one of the owner of Nexus 🤔 worth watching 🙄
They haven't impressed me so far. One of the owner did a video about a year ago stating; once you bought..."we will be there for you!! " 🤔 "once you bought" hmmmm? Really? Hmmmmm? You go first 🙃

I have heard a lot of horror stories about the Nexus brand and that switching model years seems to be a common practice at certain chain dealers. This is not the first time I have heard about that S%$# being done. I love the International front ends they have on some models but would never buy one.
