BVA... Simply amazing... in college The Verve Pipe played my college campus.. a few years later, I was working for the label promoting Villians and years later I was able to see BVA when he performed solo at SxSW on my 30th Bday... when he is in town I make it a point to be there... His passion is just remarkable because you can follow the sotry of his life... the ups and downs and its just honest and amazing. Plus- Kudos to anyone who planned a back yard tour...
Every time I hear this song I think back to doing my MA in Economics in 98 and I used to listen to this song over and over while I wrote those long, miserable papers every Professor seemed to believe was necessary.
Classic, and elusive. I've chased this song down many rabbit holes. I will never be sure of the orgin. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out. You have to accept that some sxxx is just what it is,
I love this song and I love Brian Vander Ark... But when did he become Irish? He's from Mid-Michigan, right? I felt like Frank McCourt was singing this song.

Thanks, BVA - this was the last time I was able to see him play before moving out of Michigan...

Dont blame me, but I think this is better than the ones from the early days...
wait is this really the orginal singer? did he acquire a scottish accent sense becoming famous?
The studio vocals have that accent too.
Trivia: Bryan wanted to call this song "panty-wetter" but was advised not to.
i hope the person in 2:51 didn't faint..
Most folks don't know this but he applied for a legal name change in late '11 to Brian Vander Pantywetter.
And I won't be held responsible
She fell in love in the first place
Close your eyes, listen and think of James Taylor
what the
Ya a bit too fast at parts. And the facial expressions are to die for. But I do like seeing the older him sing it cuz its more appropriate I think.
cool thing. he i ls good i am high mayB about to die. you dont feel this until youre about oto completlelty at least
Brian assembled the best band Michigan had seen in decades and then dumped on them. He’s a sad person.
Much better than the uninspired garbage of today... sad the best he can do is play in pubs now...
He's off. Quite a bit. voice is there, but too fast. He adjust to a different culture the past decade? Still good.
He looks like Dermot Mulroney...only hotter...
His vocals are better than his guitar skills.
