Currently a year 12 student and I do Edexcel chemistry and it’s not that bad so far surprisingly (not yet at least 💀) We’ve covered topic 1 (periodic table), topic 5 (basically moles and maths) and now we started topic 2 (structure and bonding) and topic 8 (energetics and enthalpy). I have two teachers lol. Anyways tysm and the thing that threw me off the most in exams was the one markers multiple choice that took me like 5 min to figure out no joke 😭

Dear all A-level chemistry students I need to know if it is worth doing chemistry at A-level because I'm highly considering it. Still, I've been told it's almost unbearingly difficult!!
Trust me it’s rlly not that hard if you put in the work I’ve been easily getting A*s but I’m definitely very average, I think everyone just makes it out like it’s so difficult that can rlly psych you out as this happened with me in the beginning of yr 12 which made me so stressed out if I didn’t understand something but now honestly I still find some topics annoying but to get good grades rlly it’s the mindset because if u make it out like its impossible ur gonna make it harder yourself. But Yh trust me it’s not impossible deffo possible with hard work I legit wasted £400 on uplearn because everyone scared me how hard Chem was but I don’t even use jt because it was never rlly that deep.
@@NoumanSami depends on the teacher though, but u can self learn things. I almost finished Physical.. All looks easy.. but we still need to practice more and more

It depends on what career you’re focusing on so does it need chemistry?

giving me hope bc year 12 organic chem is making my brain explode, the rules to naming compounds is so painful

Chem A2 is smoother than first year of A level honestly.. pushing urself in 1st years helps alot so u dont repeat
