    Awesome video thanks. I’m moving to Nefn next month and can’t wait to get in. It looks incredible from satellite loads to explore. Also been worried about seals underwater but good to see they’re friendly 😂

      Some class marks along that section of coast, nefyn is the only one I’ve encountered a lot of seals though

    Love these videos and I don't even spearfish! Fascinating to see what goes on underwater. Jack vs Fish.

    Have you dived around the harbour / old pier that was removed area? If so.. what is that and the Rocky headline next to it like?

    • @jackmetcalfe8542

      I've not dived by an old Pier, concentrated mostly on the areas to the S of the golf course, loads of Bass around there

      @@jackmetcalfe8542 there was an old slate mining pier that was destroyed at Cei Trefor.
      The break water wall is still there and I believe the foundations of the pier are still next to it. I have seen people with tanks diving there in the past. I believe it gets very deep there close to the wall.
      It would be great to see a video from you diving there!!

    Love it, Jack. I'm from north Wales but live in Cardiff now. But I'm taking spearing up this summer. What thickness is your suit? 🙂

    • @jackmetcalfe8542
      @jackmetcalfe8542  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Last season was diving in a 7mm top and 5mm bottoms however that was too cold (I don’t have much blubber), ordered an 8mm PoloSub for this season.
      Most of my mates dive in a 5mm suit, it really depends on how hot you generally run

    Not trying to ask a stupid question, but are you just holding your breath under the water or do you have some sort of breathing aid?!

    • @jackmetcalfe8542
      @jackmetcalfe8542  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      All breath hold. The slightest hint of a bubble scares any worthwhile fish away, hence why you see so few fish on scuba diving videos despite them being underwater for 20 minutes

    • @benjones3819
      @benjones3819 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @jackmetcalfe8542
      @jackmetcalfe8542  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjones3819 Depending on the species I’ll dive anything between 2 - 18 meters and breath holds of 1-2
      Minutes. Sometimes it’s more efficient to do a large number of short dives (for flatfish) and other times try and do longer breath holds (for Bass)
