@@elad5621 it's the grinding to make it burns, like when you strike a match. If you just press strongly a match on the band of the match case, it will never ignite.
You could maybe fashion a breech by drilling into the barrel from the top and seal the opening by tightening the nut to cover the opening. Not sure there would be any benefit unless you were using paper cartridges to hold powder/wad/projectile. Might be an interesting experiment. Might have to built a slightly longer cannon/barrel? Pretty sure it will work. The propellant being impact sensitive you might also incorporate a percussion cap or similar ignition system.

Use matchsticks and grind them, then pour them into patent-bolts with a hole in the back. Then cut open a cap gun cap and take out the little paper, then insert that into the back of the patent bolt. Now insert a nail in the back sealing it off. When the nail is hit, the “primer” explodes, thus setting the round off.
Good point when this experiment is done correctly no red phosphorus or glass shards from the striking pad are used only the match head, which is sugar, ammonium, nitrate, and glass shards for the extra friction created
There's no need to mix the two that makes for dangerous loading as the mix is friction sensitive now and could detonate whist you loading. Also change your ramrod for plastic, wood, copper or brass, that will reduce the chances of sparks, otherwise those were plenty of fun to play with. Also check out a few videos on making black powder, lots of fun and smoke
Yes, I was really worrying he was going to take a finger off with that. I had zero clue matchsticks could create that kind of power. Even if it were legal to make it in the UK, I think would be too unsafe to actually play with. I like my fingers lol!

Фантазер 😂. Сера не может так мощно стрелять. Пуля из ружья , стреляющая современным порохом ,и то, вряд ли пробьет две 5 см доски, (10 см), а ты говоришь, что какой то поджиг смог пробить 10 см 😂🤦🏼♂️. Запомни - поджиг это пукалка, пугач, тем более со спичечной серой
А следующим этапом после поджига, был куркач! Металлическая скоба била по гвоздику со сточенным острием, который был вставлен в отверстие в задней части ствола. Мы так в войну на стройках играли) Эх молодость....

При максимальном заряде пробивал фанеру 12мм насквозь. Пуля откусанный кусок проволоки катанки диаметром 5мм. А калибры разные были... Кто что найдет)

Get some potassium nitrate and dilute it in a solution of water what's a tablespoon full of potassium nitrate and a quarter cup of water. Put a coffee filter in the solution take it out and let it dry and after it's dry you can use the coffee filter you can twist it into a fuse.

I have used Strike anywhere matches to fill the .22 air rifle pellets which are hollow inside but from the rear, compressed it into the pellet then sealed the back with epoxy resin and have a bunch of pellets that explode on contact.
Really impressive, you could measure the velocity of the ball and multiply with the weight of the ball so you see how many J is in this thing. Maybe a longer barrel would give it much more kick?.

Yep, this. The mixture of match heads and striking material is much more volatile than people realise. A friend almost lost his fingers making a bolt bomb with this mix ... the bolt ended up 10 metres away embedded in the neighbour's deck, so deep the neighbour never realised it was there.

Just grind some matchpowder and put some water on it, soak them into the paper or string. Let them dry for few days and they will work fine. It wont work as well as commercial ones though
You used metal push rod and tissue to push powder into battery. That can be a bit dangerous. Agree? Premature ignition maybe? Keep it safe, use an item made of wood or plastic as push rod. Hope to see more vids soon.

Good point. The burn chamber has very little wall. Better to have a longer bolt, stop shorter and load the bolt with nuts for strength.
I only made that mixture to check in my workshop that it is very explosive with friction

Всего лучше не заниматься всякой хнёй, а просто взять черный порох. Дешево и сердито, а главное безопасно.
