  • Way back ... in my youth, I watched the bionic man and woman in action with their super appendages - in awe - dating myself now and yes that was in the 70's! I always thought 'How cool' they were....if only ....I had a bionic ... well ...anything.
Fast forward just a few short years ;) and we now have Arduino micro-controllers and 3D Printers laying around the house.
That fact is totally mind-blowing to this elder guy ... we've come a long way from the Meccano, Blue Space Lego and Commodore 64 / PETs of yester-year.
So ... with COVID19 giving me some time, I decided to make me a glove controlled cyberhand! That'll finally be my own bionic beauty.
Practical use = TBD. Probably not too many real world applications.
I just think it looks kinda freaky Mad Max cool and it actually works!
A great learning experience - had to use some Math, things from around the house, a bit of creativity and one of the fun parts ....took some research.
Hopefully my journey might inform or inspire your own.

I think we might be a special breed building such things!
A lot of family/friends asked 'Why did you build it? What are you going to use it for?'
I just built it to see if I could! Sadly it has no use.
Good way to test Arduino coding skills.
Do you have a video of yours posted? Yours have all 5 digits?

@@fixitdad899 What make me have the idea to make "hand" is a really practical one made by David Lans. no servos,no battery and really useful that no one would doubt. Sadly I still trying on copy/improve his version and not finished yet. BTW I like electricity drived hand too.
