I love this. I love growing but can no longer dig, be on my hands and knees, lugging and lifting the way I used to. BTW, I love the guitar to whoever is playing
You can! Get a fishtank with a cover and/or light hood. Then you put your seedlings in the bottom and put the cover on top. The cats leave it alone because they can't get in there. In the fish tank acts like a mini greenhouse.
I'm in Illinois with harsh winters. What do you do with this in the winter? Can it survive being outside or will it have to be torn down and put in the garage for the winter?
Garden Tower's were born in Indiana and our designed to stay outside. All you have to do is turn over the 2 gallon drawer at the bottom. We also suggest moving your worms to a simple storage bin where they will stay above freezing for the winter away from excess moisture. They don't require much food at low temperatures, so that's what we do in Indiana!
I really want to buy one these but in the Philippines no one that i know of sells them im really interested in gardening but i dont have a lot of space so this would be perfect for me but no one sells them were i live :(
People with thumbs down, did you try this, or just don't like video? Need real user feedback. Sole parent, low income, homeschool mom very interested, but hard to afford this... Trying to do thorough research.
Does anyone use this in warm climates like New Mexico or Arizona? I would thin that the heat, even in the shade, would boiled this tower to death. Anyone with experience.?
You could always get some shadecloth. A certain percentage that'll block out the extreme sun if that's an issue. They come in various % kinds. As for your question: I do not know.
Yes, thousands of people in the Southwest USA use the towers in extremely dry, sunny areas. First, you will want an irrigation setup to eliminate the maintenance of watering. Second, if you want to grow during the summer a shade cloth or locating the tower where it will get shade from noon-4pm is a great idea to keep plants from overheating.
Tip: To many of us, it's essentially laziness that compels people to put up videos w no explanation, no description, no tips + tricks, etc. Muzak + pictures. Please do better?

This is the coolest thing ever! Such a great idea with so many features
I'm super loving mine Look forward to getting another one Just for herbs Highly recommend it
Do you still use yours? What have you planted in both of them?
Could I use it indoors in the winter in MO. I have a sunny room, and I could potentially use grow lights?
Wow this is amazing
Can you grow seeds? I am unable to start seeds indoors. Have a cat and no way to separate the two.

Does compost smell though? We live in condo affordable housing community...
I have a large attached sunroom, is this safe to keep indoors?
what’s the song used in this video?
Can Worm Composted soil fill the tower garden 2, instead of the worms in the center? Thanks
Yes certainly, just make sure to blend the castings with coir or peat to make a light, lofty potting mix with them!
Where can I buy it Malaysia?

don't leave it outside. The worms will die if you do.
I put mine inside. I did not want the plastic to split ( zone 5 canada)

( Tim’s Garden barrel - how to form a pocket ) I hope this time you will find it. !!
can you use something else other than compost
Yes, you can. You can add organic dry plant food with potting mix in the central column and change it out annually with fresh amendment.

QueenVanessa Plays you can make one with a 55 gallon barrel and a PVC pipe
Will it have enough room to grow blueberries ( top hat dwarf for example )?
Blueberry needs acidic soil to grow well. The amount of acid needed would hurt all your other plants.
@@2xpl361Unless the only plants you grow in that one prefer acidic soil.
How is it winterized?
The only required step in to turn over the drawer at the bottom so it drains. The tower is designed to survive harsh winters!
Also, how to water? They don't allow us a hose here.
Watering can and lots of trips
