The Octave transpose on my unit didn't work. I had to update the firmware and now I can transpose thru all the octaves. Thank you for showing us this function
@Damiano Pistoia Is it possible to save whole midi( set up in DAW) pattern sent to tb3 from a DAW under PTN SELECT menu BUTTON and there under selected pattern button? Will be grateful for info how to do it. It would help make great melodies, bass lines much faster and easier and save them in tb3 than doing it via tb3's screen.... It would be a great function in tb3 with such a option...
using tb 3 is it possible to change bass line pattern not from presets included but by writting the pattern by ourselves when playing live at the same time having variation in melody?
@@DamianoPistoia is it possible to change already played bass line or leads pattern form tb3 just adding new notes and finally changing the old played pattern for new one without stopping the music and giving the fresh new sound from tb3...
@@marcean6495 this is a very tricky manoeuvre because you have to change notes in rec mode and then jump in pattern mode and I'm not sure if music stops in this transition. I have to check. More easy is to enter in keyboard mode and change global root of actual played pattern. It gives a nice variation and then you can change patterns without problem. Regards
I really like what you do your tests and, I would like to hear your opinion on a minimal techno / trance uplifting set. I intended to buy an Analog Rythm MK2 and an Analog Four MK2, as well as a Roland MC 707 and TR 8S and for the bass line a mb33 mam, a Korg Xd rack, Electribe 2 in this way j 'will have a varied range of sounds. What do you think ? No Elektron and Roland duo? Do you have any other suggestions? Thank you in advance for your response and advice
So not an easy question, but I'll do my best to give you some good advice. Tr8s is the ultimate drum machine especially with its last firmware update. The 8 scenes section is very useful for live situations but be prepared for a lot of diving if you want to push to the limit this machine. About bassline my suggestion is Toraiz as1, easy to use and with tons (500 presets) of great sounds, from acid to deep trance, but to create patterns and control them you need a powerful midi sequencer so why not an Elektron Digitakt? Very fast transition among its banks and patterns, nice workflow and built in sampler. Korg xd sounds great, 4 polyphony and built in step sequencer. The choice of course is yours, but for techno/trance this setup is really interesting. Regards
Thank you very much for your answer, it is a very big help, indeed Toraiz as 1, I had not thought of. Concerning the digitakt an idea excuse. For you the Mc 707 not a good idea / option? Korg seems like a good alternative. If you have any other suggestions and ideas, please let me know. Again a big thank you to you.
@@PHOENIX-fb1cf If you are looking for "Roland synth sounds" the mc101 has same engine and presets and you can control it with an external midi keyboard and/or step sequencer. If you are looking for a nice groovebox, at the same price Akai Force is just another planet. Regards
Thank you for your feedback and very valuable advice. Are you talking about adding a step-by-step sequencer to the mc 101, it doesn't have a step-by-step sequencer like the 707? Indeed, the Force is a great alternative. But is it not limited for audio / sample tracks, I mean by that, if 16 audio sample tracks for drums and others are needed, the Force, Can it handle as many audio tracks for samples? How many audio tracks and virtual instruments, how many maximum possible clips for the Force? Thank you again for your answers opinions and advice
@@PHOENIX-fb1cf yes mc101 has its internal step sequencer and patterns but you can easily control it with an external midi keyboard to sample its sounds or to program with Digitakt for example. The only limit of the Force is 8 tracks of plugins for project but that's enough because these synths are amazing just like Hype. About drums you can create limitless tracks.
Well, with the touchscreen you can play very unique sounds in the envelope mode and Roland encoders have the best modulation feeling in the market. If you can, try this machine out. Regards
@@DamianoPistoia agreed! I have one of these and love the functionality/built in fx/runs off USB/etc. And the best part is that it fills that Tb303 void and keeps my pocket happy

Nice little vid, helped me understand the high hats somewhat.
What brought the high hat in? Is that from a separate instrument?
Hi thanks for your interest, yes drum parts come from Roland Tr8s (it's a drum machine) and both are connected to Roland Mx1, a mixer. Regards✌🏻
