This has been my favorite shoe over the past few months. I swapped out the laces for lock laces....as I do in many of my running shoes. They're great for easy on and off...and the lockdown is great.

biggest surprise of the year, for me its best used for tempo into fast 5km runs due to how well it rolls through. slow easy is a no no and this gets worse on hills going slow, as per other post if it had a rebellion upper it would be a awesome shoe

Pretty much agree with all of this Fordy . I’ve only just got mine and so only taken them out for one run so far but I’m loving the cush and the ease at which they turn over. Fits true to size for me although I would have liked the opportunity to do a runner’s knot (and there is a lot of lace!) even though lockdown is good. I’m not a huge fan of booty construction either but these really don’t get in the way or feel like you’re wearing an ankle tag.
I loved the SC Trainer v1 and getting similar vibes from the cush and response (plus the booty construction is way better in this). I think I’m going to enjoy this for the long Sunday runs and the easy days!

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying the new kicks! The cush and responsiveness really do make a difference on those longer runs. Happy running!

Thanks Fordy - enjoyed my pair - nice and cushioned and different beast from Speed 4 which is firmer- used them on dry trails on holiday and then the midsole collapsed in that gap in the forefoot- ! Had to retire them after this.

Love this shoe, got the black colourway and they look awesome. Couldn’t agree more about the laces though, they are ridiculous!!

One of my fav shoes in this years. Best for my tempo / threshold pace. I'm 175cm and 75kg. My 5K pace is still slow, (4.30-4.45min/km).
And this shoes best for 5.0-5.30 min/km. And i found this shoes is best for fartlek training. Eazy enough for recovery pace and responsive enough for hard pace (Slightly above 5K pace). Good Job, Mizuno.

The Neo Vista destroyed my shoe rotation, because it’s so versatile and comfortable, I never wanted to run in anything else. It felt like running on a cross between a trampoline and a cloud. It’s cushioned enough for long runs, but I could really pick up the pace too. The only major flaw is the lack of traction from the outsole, especially on wet pavement.

    • @FordyRuns
      @FordyRuns  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

It's amazing how a single shoe can change your entire running experience! The comfort level really does make a difference, even if the traction leaves a bit to be desired.

Hello which one do you prefer more , neo vista or zoom fly 6? Are they even comparable as far as I understand they fall under super trainer category.

very soft and bouncy, works well for my heel strike, stability is okayish for me (I think the cutout helps stabilize similar to the True Motion shoes). Has taken a spot for (longer) easy runs for me, if I want to go faster I'll take the Superblast or something plated. Overall good shoe, will stay in the rotation, but if I wanted a smaller rotation it would be the Superblast all day long.
P.S.: laces work ok for me, no issues, but they are the loooongest I've ever seen.

Got about 25 miles on mine over two runs. Love it at HM pace but interestingly it's not good for me at slower paces. Midsole seems to collapse, stretching my plantar fascia. I found it very challenging to get up to 5k pace. That mid-range pace it's wonderful though. Can got 12-14 miles and legs don't feel beat up at all.

i don’t love it and don’t hate it i’ve got 50 miles in mine. it is a enjoyable shoe for 8-9 min endurance zone running. i have used it for tempo work and found it a bit sluggish. i haven’t run in the speed 4 but the speed 3 is so much better than this shoe. i have just picked up the mizuno wave rebellion flash 2 for my tempo interval speed work

Would consider giving this a try but the cost in Australia is crazy at $320. Same price as the Superblast 2 over here.

Currently on sale for $240 at athletes foot btw. I'm heavily considering it, most sizes left.

I sold mine on, was just a bit too soft for my shins liking. Also, that upper made my feet feel like they were on fire, soooo warm 😂

For my running I found this a fantastic medium to long range cruiser, with an ability for some up tempo efforts mixed in.
At its best when you roll through the stride, super smooth. I don’t think it’s for those perfect forefront strikers, you might not get the best out of it as I don’t think it’s has that type of responsiveness.
I have a high volume foot, so upper, lockdown and lacing all suited me perfectly.
Again for me in regards to comparisons, I found this beating out my Hoka Skyward X (which I think requires more effort to run in) when I had to pick one for a run.
    P.s. I am a heavy 100kg runner 😂
