    I skate for past 30 years. Skates, inlines, aggressive… I’ve never fell badly or hurtled myself beyond some bruises or scratches. I’ve just bought new aggressive skates and decided to take them for a spin. I didn’t brought any protection with me because I didn’t intend for serious skating , just some casual 5 min roll… and I broke my arm… no really, it was fucking humiliating… It was the lamest casual fall and I locked my elbow. I wasn’t going fast I didn’t even fell hard… and it broke… I’ll have 30 days to think about it with the cast

    Great words on the helmet. My helmet saved my life in the mountain bike trails (cracked the helmet open). We watched a little girl ride to the hospital after taking a fall without a helmet recently as well

    Hi! I am a skater in the States and I love your videos. They are so informative! Can you recommend any type of clothing for skating? Specifically pants for aggressive inline. It is winter in Georgia and the weather is generally around 2 C to 10 C at night when I skate.

    • @skamidanen
      @skamidanen  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey, first of all, thank you very much! :) For winter I recommend wide cutted sweatpants. Why? They are very comfortable, you can war the protectors under the pants (what will be warmer) and so you have a free space between your skin and the pants, which gives you a kind of "warm air cushions". This is the best way to keep warm and feel good as well.

    Wrist guards like that can cause bone fractures in the arm because of the way they sit around the forearm. The best wrist guards on the market is fleximeter. It’s made by a trauma surgeon.

    • @skamidanen
      @skamidanen  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's true, this can happen. But there is never a 100% protection! Well, I've to try them out. But in the videos it seems like there is no good protection for you hand. It looks using the flexmeter wristguard your hands can be bend too much, so they can brake. Well, I'll try them out for sure! Thank you!
      🙂👍

    • @MurdaCrumpet
      @MurdaCrumpet 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The best guards on market is hard shells and learning to bail and roll out with ur body like a fkn KUNG FU NINJA.
      And not try to land with ur wrists use the elbow guards and when you are falling roll with them IT'S AN ART BAILING OUT PROPERLY IS A ART FORM 😂🎨 guards will only save u so much if u can't or don't know how to work them

    Picked up a Uno Bolt type riding wheel (fed up after waiting for Ryno Wheel to get to retail). I wanted it mostly for getting around at the Veterans Hospital. I'm 65 and that place seems to get bigger each year. I promised my wife I'd wear protective gear while learning how to wear it. Oh well. Biking gear seems to be a bit over the top for the short duration learning curve. Any thoughts?

    for me, I am 6 foot 2 inches and weigh 220poundss looking for knee and elbow pads that will help protect me and also wrist protection because I have a pin and plate holding my scaphoid together...
    plz help me out should I go with soft ones with the hardening material they use or should I go for both inner and outer hard pads? or maybe there is a perfect one in between of maybe a nice solid and protective hard pads that will do good in summer temps... if you wouldn't mind I would love to hear what you have to say thanks soo much!!
    please help, I just see too many options! would u recommend to go w a protective sleeve or go for protection w some knee and wrist pads I can slide out with...

    Hab das Video geliked, aber du sag mal, warum hat der Shop so eine komische Auswahl an Skates? Keine FR Skates zum Beispiel, welche inzwischen Kult sind was Inline Skates angeht.

    • @skamidanen
      @skamidanen  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Danke dir! :) Aber warum komische Auswahl? Powerslide und Co. was wir führen gehören zu den Top Marken. Klar FR und andere Marken würden wir in der Zukunft auch irgendwann noch mit ins Sortiment aufnehmen, aber finanziere das alles erstmal. ;) Als Beispiel: Mit einem Skate Modell in allen Größen von 37 bis 49 und jede Größe mal nur 3 mal. Dann bis du bei 13 Größen * 3 = 39, also sagen wir 40 Skates. Dann gehen wir mal von einem Einkaufspreis von 100 Euro aus, was ja noch relativ wenig ist, dann liegst du schon bei 4.000 Euro (ohne Steuern), dann benötigst du noch den Platz und das bei 100 Modellen + Zubehör und, und, und. Daher haben wir uns erstmal auf unsere Lieblingsskate-Marke Powerslide spezialisiert und bieten und decken alle Skate Disziplinen ab, mit hochwertigen Artikeln. FR wird hauptsächlich in der Freesystle und Slalom Szene verwendet und konkurriert dort mit Powerslide. Nun ja, so mal als kleinen Einblick. ✌

    Can anyone recommend knee protectors which don't put any pressure on the knee? I'm going to sound like a wuss here, but I can't stand anything putting pressure on my knees. I've always been that way. I'm looking for something with a large enough and raised enough "cup"-like cap over the knee, which doesn't actually make contact with the knees.
