There's something delightful about a company called Nahvalur with a sub brand name called Ikkaku, and a pen called Lan Yue. That's Icelandic, then Japanese, then Chinese!

I think your brain is subconsciously combining Sailor's "Cross Point" and Regalia's "Crossflex".
Good to see Ralph well and working again. He was among the first persons creating weird nibs.

Great looking pen body. But, for the most part, already sold out. Perhaps Navalur will re-issue this with a more standard nib selection. Frankly, there is no way I have even your control to use this pen effectively. Therefore, even if they manufactured 10,000 of these, I would have to take a pass. As usual Figboot has provided yet another stunning pen review. Thank you for you continual thought provoking investigations.

I saw that super blue moon. It was stunning. “Half-moon clip” - ha! That’s why you get paid the big bucks.
It’s an interesting pen, but I find flex nibs don’t appeal to me so much right now and the price seems a little steep. But I’m glad to know it about it and always like your excellent reviews.
I was at the reveal of that pen, in DC. I didn't get a chance to hold it, or write with it. There were so many people lined up, for it. Any idea why they didn't include a gold nib, for that price point? I really, really like Nahvalur. I have six of their pens, but their value for me, is an attractive, good writing pen at a reasonable price. I doubt I'd ever pay a very high price for one. That could change over time, as Nahvalur is improving their product, by leaps and bounds.

As far as I can tell, this pen seems to be sold out, already. As have the crossflex nibs. Maybe Ebay has some?

@@alexryyanit is, but done in china, not that there is anything wrong with that. However when you look at what Tianzi is producing for a fraction of a price, I do wonder if this is narwhal hiking prices for branding sake.
Also under the macro shots, the polishing doesn’t look that great :s
