I loved Emilia's lack of hesitation and going beast mode. Being anime only this really took me by surprise.

Love these cut content videos!! Subaru's reaction to his first death in a year in the novel is far more understandable. I will be pissed too if I die a year after promising that I will never die again. 😂😂😂
but tbh that's a promise that could never be kept if you're a normal human with a lack of combat experience against much stronger opponents like Subaru so ofc Subaru would be pissed, Reinhart would be more than likely to be able to keep that promise tho

i think his promise was more related to the time he was doing it himself to himself, he reached a point where his life is so meaningless he started abusing RBD!!
these deaths aren't related to that promise, he respects his life and tried his best to be as cautious, but the enemy is to strong for even emilia let alone subaru...
That’s a stupid promise to make with all he’s been through. He should know the possibility of avoiding death in a magical world is low, no matter how much time passes.
The death with the bunnies is definitely worse for Subaru but his first death in this episode looked way more disturbing from an visual standpoint .

i agree, in my opinion if re:zero had another anime just showing him dying over and over and coming up with new plans each death i'd be more interested in that than the normal series
He technically lied to Crusch and said his cell phone is what told him about the whale's time and location. Not a total lie, but not the complete truth either. He didnt have to share anything about RBD.
If the information he shares leads to RBD being exposed is most likely what will trigger a penalty for him. Every other time he incurred it was when he was actively trying to tell someone about it. Emilia getting a surprise explosion in her chest the one time he said consequences be damned probably gave him perma trauma lol

yeah this pretty much. the reason why he can tell beatrice pretty much anything is because he told her to not assume how he got the information and to simply trust that what he says is true

Re: Zero hits different now that I used the gap between seasons to read the entire web novel so far. Now I can fully appreciate just how good the anime adaptation is. Plus, watching Arc 5 knowing where all the characters are by Arcs 8 and 9 is also a reflective experience.

defeating wrath would be a lot easier if he knew someone that could remove the effects that sirius gives to people and then have reinhart cut her down

I think the amount of penalty for sharing information is proportional to the chances of the person being told the information raising questions about the origin of that information. So, Rachin, would either not be very likely to properly question the information or would be easy to mislead on the origin of that information. Meanwhile, Amelia would be difficult to mislead and has enough information already that she could start making educated guesses.

Remembering back to Ani’s past cut content in season 2 during Emilia’s trial he mentioned Fortuna losing something that never should have left, likely her soul, Pandora is likely using her body as some twisted source of amusement when Sirius pledges her love for Geuse like some sick romance

I think Puck is furtuna's soul in the form of an artificial spirit. Puck even says that he has been looking for Emilia. Who else knows who Emilia is
She has silver hair and purple eyes. Fortuna and petelgeuse had feelings for each other. Sirius has feelings for him too. Not to mention she uses fire. Fortuna used ice, but it’s been stated that ice magic is a subsidiary of fire in the re zero world.

Whenever Subaru shares information by RbD, Beatrice must have notice he starts stinking of the Witch. She can put two and two together.
I don't think Beatrice can smell the witches miasma. The only confirmed characters are rem, ryuzu, betelgeuse and the sin archbishop of lust (also a spinoff character named Reize) seem to be the only ones that can smell the witches miasma
@JB-fd8jy I didn't see first season for a while but I am sure maid sisters complained about Subaru stinking of the witch and I think Beatrice has some off hand comment about it too but I am not sure. And Beatrice has gospel and knows the witch she should smell one.
@martind5653 remember that beatrice's gospel was already empty and contact with witches doesn't make you automatically able to smell the scent. Otherwise roswaal and Puck also would be able to do the same.
Regarding the Oni sisters it's only rem that is able to smell Subaru for unknown reasons though the

rem:if (an alternate world where Subaru ran away with rem instead of fighting betelgeuse letting Emilia die in the process) Story maybe gives us a hint why. Reize who appeared in the alternate timeline gained the ability because the sin archbishop of lust poured something on her. It's possible that the same thing happened to rem but she can't remember it happening

I thought Petelgeuse was peak disgusting villain, but then these two revolting "things" appeared (with Gluttony just around the corner) to prove me wrong. This season is gonna be intense with 3 of the sin archbishops appearing at once.

Seems like a pacing decision in the changes. To be fair, though, if they just spent so much time on him dying and showing the deaths in detail, then anime would fall into wallowing too much as torture porn.

I would like to add that is the last season of the anime, Roswall told subaru that he had to save everyone from now on. Otherwise, he would force subaru to restart since Subaru won the bet.

I tended to wonder why Subaru didn't just reflavour return by death when talking about it to something unrelated like saying he "had a premonition" but i guess that'd be like trying to poke legal loopholes into an insurance contract and just getting put in jail.
It’s all about intention if he wants to hint at the ability then he will get punished. There are examples of him unintentionally spoiling his power without getting punished (I don’t remember the episode somewhere around 2x5-2x7, but he says “Last time” and Roswaal questions his sentence)
