Unlike helicopters these things are a lot more dangerous, there's more that can go wrong, like for example if you have a power failure mid air it will fall like a rock, where as a helicopter can auto rotate and basically glide in a controlled fall.

As to the parking, I’m sure that before these things become mainstream and be available to a lot of people (the public), and might be affordable to your everyday folks, the companies would be able to come up with very good plan to fit these things. If you can't fly a 500 gram drone that was banned for safety concerns, what makes you believe anyone will allow you to fly a 2 tonne death machine? But - there are other VTOL aircraft that are significantly less noisy than a helicopter.
They should put shields around the blade propellers.
That afects the aerodynamics a lot, and they would have to put propellers around the shields

@greazymcgeezy shift in flow of air in simple terms. Putting guards around above or under blades prevents aerodynamic and its stability without proper flow it can't maintain it self and most likely not stay stable enough without crashing.

If people want to risk their own lives, that's their decision, but to put others at risk like this, who didn't sign up for this type of risk just ISN'T right.

I fly these in a smaller scale and when you're carrying a payload such as a person people don't understand the amount of battery power that it takes to lift this off the ground and keep it off the ground. These get cost-prohibitive when they are the size of a person carrying quadcopter.

@@CNSPACE2030 Wright brothers built a plane that could glide if the engine cut off. So essentially it was safer than these things. It can't even autorotate like a normal helicopter. Not to mention sound, cost and other practical issues.
This won't ever become a mainstream thing just because if the incredible noise pollution alone, let alone aeronautical safely regulations.
This will be just another thing for the wealthy or rich. It'll be somewhat more common than private helicopters, but still be a rare thing.

I would still suggest the designer would install blade guards to ensure the craft can return safely on controlled manner other than crashing down because at any instant flock of birds get cross in its path it surely will give it a great and catastrophic operation. A strong perforated metal guards is enough while it sucks up air for the thrust action of the blades yet protective both during airborne and or during take off at busy space of left off.
And further I suggest for double safety reason in case the flight malfunction while on air the craft must have a parachute installed somewhere and somehow easily employed if ever there is need to for both the craft and passengers safely sown the ground or water and as additional safety still for both inflatable air bags could save the entire machine-passenger airborne object.
I dont know why there are no news about its market success yet perhaps its about the additional features suggestion beforehand which I think is a wonderful property any life preserving owners to be would make them get interested with. Agian it needs blade guards, parachute and combined skid for land/water take off and landing or hidden airbags for later buoyancy emergency purposes.
One last option if ever one of the four blades front or rear by freak atop of operation, I think the all four blades arms are adjustable such that it will automatically and swiftly goes center wise to balance the lift either front or rear and has also transverse shifting of center meaning to the sides to correct a balanced lifting power of remaining blades, say from four operational into three operational blades and all are automated to get into its supposed centers to correct balance of flight.

They're onto something with the actual cars , maybe a quick detach system . You order the drone on demand and it flys to you , or perhaps you own it and it stays at your house until you summon it . Say you work an hour away by car , it flys you to work in 10-20 mins , detaches so you can park and returns home . Then after work you wanna drive around and go eat . But you're still an hour away from home by car so you summon your drone top and it comes and flys you back home . It could even just sit above idling until you're ready .

Never going to happen, for the same reason we don't have 100's of helicopters flying overhead. Which, tbh, we had the ability to have decades ago. A small runaround is actually cheaper, safer, and more reliable than this thing is going to be.
