Indian here. I do believe that the CGI(presentation) was not so good, but ISRO(INDIA) has already released the videos and photos from the onboard camera. You guys can check it out for a view.
The Launching has also confirmed by various Space agency's around the world.
So, a country like INDIA which used to transport it's rocket by Bullockcart and now has launched mission to the South-Pole of Moon is a big acheivement and have come a long way. It's also a win for Space community.

i am not indian, but from the articles i read, it was actually the animated footage.. the animated footage looks very basic, but it actually took the real spacecraft position and motion which was translated to take 3rd person view (it worked almost similar to gps machine).. they had cameras attached to the spacecraft, but the view was so dark and they decided to take a look via this animation (plan B)..

Considering the way you're speaking or so, I'd really like to know your qualification while commenting on such matters since you seem to be an expert or are finding it hard to see an Asian country actually rising.
For unmanned spacecraft landings like this, animations are generally used to translate the telemetry/current state of a spacecraft into a visual, they aren't necessarily for pleasing footage (unfortunately). An example aside from ISRO is the Antares|Cygnus rocket; after stage separation, an animation is shown to visualize the current state of the second solid rocket stage. Despite having the mind-blowing capabilities of modern cameras, maintaining and communicating data from this equipment is more data and power that can be dedicated to scientific and engineering instruments. Simply put, it isn't necessary or worth the mass, power, and data cost. In contrast, the manned lunar landings were different; the LM had a much larger payload capacity, and also had human operators who could operate cameras and other photographical equipment externally. ISRO's achievement is certainly monumental, and the photos we are getting are astonishing!

The problem of having an HD Camera is that it will require higher bandwidth transmission and processing power, the entire communication system of the rover and lander needs to be redesigned from scratch which will incur higher cost and time, and photography is not the first priority of the mission. Since you and your audience are living under a rock feel free to google the same question you asked in the video on why we dont have HD cameras on lander or the rover. As a matter of fact if other space agencies are confirming the presence of our lander, then I don't think you need more proof than that. I would say stick to your original content and not lambast on other topics.

Joe the whole budget was around 75 million and they did release the actual footage later. You can install a 4k camera but it takes time to send the image back to earth.

No! The moon isn't mars. Radio Waves make the trip (~384.400km) in ~1.28s. The south pole also remains in our line of sight, so a live stream could have been possible here. Btw: They've already live streamed technical telemetry data, just not including video footage

Hey joey I'm a BIG fan and a regular supporter of your channel. Just a few points
1- This was the first ever landing of India on the moon. Nasa has been on the moon about 3 times already when the Apollo 11 mission took place.
2- The news anchor was from the outlet Firstpost, and she was actually criticizing the UK Journalist's demeaning statement of "India returning its foreign aid if it can land on moon"
3- The point was not a Showy presentation. ISRO Astronauts wanted the people to get a rough Idea to know how the landing occured. Also, I believe that you respect that we are a poor country, and NASA's Budget is almost 10 times that of ISRO, the chandrayaan itself was less expensive than the movie "Martian"
4- The prime minister of India, Modi was in South africa at that moment, and had to attend the landing online. It is common in India to wave small flags like that, and he actually made a speech after that, but you did not bother showing that.
You could have said a few appreciative words for our Cheapskate, but quality space program. But really appreciate for pointing out the negatives (Like everyone else is doing ATM). I know you will never read this, but I hope you reflect!

India is not poor, even compared to the US, it has the sixth largest economy in the world, wealthier than France and Italy and South Korea, according to last year's statistics. There's no reason it couldn't do a better job with presentation. The graphics look hilariously awful, so of course there will be ridicule, even if graphics are not important to Indians.

Ah yes! Making fun of a country's efforts as well as the people's hard work just because the animation is "wonky". Sure even I didn't the like our Prime Minister waving the flag taking up half the screen during which important information should have been displaced (just after the lander touched down).
ISRO does not have a launcher powerful enough to get Chandrayaan 3 all the way to the moon, it uses raises its apogee using timed burns that save fuel. And that is the answer as to why there aren't any landing recording cameras, to save fuel by making the lander lighter i.e. ditching unnecessary mass. The lander did release pictures of the moon, the one it was supposed to take and the mission is still ongoing, there is simply no need for video recordings of the landing either as it was designed to do everything automatically without any manual human control unlike the moon landings of 1969 which was partially piloted by Armstrong and the Saturn V is much more powerful than the GSLV Mk3.
The animation you see here shows the lander's true location used only for a visual representation to the public of the landing.

Joey, I have been a follower of yours for so long and I really like your content but disagree on this one. You can see the rover (Prgyan) which is equipped with cameras rolling on the moon's surface.
It did not capture real-time footage of the landing because there were no dedicated cameras or equipment to record the event. Sending equipment, including cameras, to the moon is costly and adds to the weight of the spacecraft. Space missions have stringent weight and budget constraints (It costs only $75 million), and adding cameras specifically for video recording might have required sacrificing other scientific instruments.
Recording and transmitting real-time video from the moon to Earth pose substantial technical challenges. The vast distance between the Earth and the moon affects the quality and speed of data transmission. High-definition video requires substantial bandwidth, and dedicating that bandwidth for video might have compromised other mission-critical communications.
So, please if you have limited knowledge about something, it’s better to avoid making such videos and ridiculing someone just for the sake of content.

Bro, it's a Perception Guided Navigation System. It's highly expensive. It shows the object with its own surroundings in real time using a computer generated 3d model. Same thing on Tesla autopilot, Submarine(during submerge), Ballistic missile and even a Cruise missile.
Explanation about this mission:
1. They land on South Pole of the moon and usually dark in there.
2. During this landing, the site is dark so, camera is useless.

Err....your claims about the landing spot being in darkness are wrong dude. The footage of the actual landing as viewed from the lander's camera does exist. It was shown in the actual ISRO landing livestream till about 150 meters altitude but then it was cut-off (maybe due to some bandwidth restrictions or lunar dust). But the buffers stored the camera footage right down to touch down and this was later transmitted and then ISRO shared it on its social media and now that video is there on Sci News channel.
So it wasn't due to it being dark there. The entire point was to land just as the sun rose over that spot.
If only we had the technology with which to illuminate the dark or even see through the darkness itself!
