I love Daisuke Tsuji for his work as Jin Sakai, this is a well deserved role for him, he’s so talented.
I knew he sounded familiar. Man I gotta play ghost of tsushima again.
He would have a better role if he was Hanzo Hasashi Scorpion.

I love the fact that Kuai Liang in every timeline is kind but hardened protector, never wavering in his heroics
Like Johnny's lovable cheekiness and Shang Tsung's constant betrayal, some things are truly a universal (multiversal?) constant.
It's in our blood.
In this Timeline Kuai-lieng is not as cold as he was in previous games.
Guess is due to having a better past.
I mean in previous games he was cold due to lin-Kuei criminal past, training and not knowing mothers care

Sindel and Scorpion's lines are intriguing. Sure, some normal humans know two or three generations of people, but Sindel has been around for thousands of years. Imagine the credibility you build with befriending a clan from its very founding!
Cryomancers are originally Edenians, no wonder Sindel stayed in touch with them.

One of my biggest worries coming into MK1 was that they were going to turn Kuai Liang into a vengeful and angry guy like Scorpion is usually potrayed, but I'm glad they kept his personality.
It's honestly pretty awesome to see a very chill Scorpion!
Let's hope that NRS don't plan to kill him, to turn Hanzo into Angry Scorpion v2.0...

First off, love the fact you only show the character's versus intros off once and then proceed to show the rest of the quotes, super appreciate that.
Second, I love how Scorpion and Sub Zero have the opposite personalities to what their element is usually typecasted with, Scorpion being cool headed and calm while Sub Zero is Hot Headed and angry.
Lowkey scorpion has to be the well done character for a remake that tattoo looks hella good
Considering the fact this Scorpion is not Hanzo rather Kuai Liang makes there dynamic more interesting. While I will miss Hanzo being Scorpion I don't mind Kuai Liang being Scorpion since they didn't repeat the backstory.

Love that Kuai is somewhat of a mentor to everyone. They’re all looking to learn from him or impress him. That’s nice.
I just love this new timeline so much! I love that characters like Reptile, Tanya and Sindel can have friendly banter with Kuai Liang.
I like Liu Kang new era. It's not so violent with war. Everyone is allies, and along better. Mileena, Kitana and Sindel are finally a good family
theres really a lack of diversity in the character and i dont mean about sexuality or skin colors i mean about cyborgs or other species honestly specially cyborgs as fighters

SOME of those races of beings don't make sense though in the new era. Why would Fire God Liu Kang "Allow" Some of those things to exist. So much like the person above said, it could expand in the future, but it would have to further go against Liu Kangs wishes for the timeline.

I love how everyone admires and respects Scorpion. From Kitana congratulating him on his wedding and offering him any help he needed, Mileena wanting to honor him for his service, Sindel and Syzoth admiring and acknowledging his strength, Kung Lao and Raiden respecting him as a superior, and even Johnny in his announcer voice outright saying "LOVE THIS GUY!", he's probably the most universally liked character in the MK1 Universe, which kinda reflects his irl reception. Kinda reminds me of Piccolo or even Itachi, the kind of guy that everyone likes and always invites to stuff even though they know he probably won't show up.
Don't forget Tomas Vrbada(Smoke), and Syzoth(Reptile) too. Those fellas are chill.

Yeah, but understanding and capable of reason, given how he swore peace to Kuai Liang, became allies, and Scorpion bringing condolences to Kuai Liang after seeing the horrors of the factory.
Scorpion!Kuai Liang is much more amicable to the right people, but just like his previous self(Sub-Zero!Kuai Liang) from the old era he is so dedicated, honor-driven, and wise.
I begrudgingly like him better as Scorpion imo.

I love how, even though he's wearing a mask, you can tell that Scorpion is smiling in amusement when he explains Syzoth that "Scorpion is a beast" was metaphorical.
I feel like a lot of people are adverse to Scorpion's character change, but having Kuai Liang be Scorpion works out a lot better in my opinion. It's way cooler that they are both brothers who have opposite abilities, rather than having them both be carbon copies of one another. I suspect that Hanzo will be returning as Noob Siabot in a future game to complete the circle.
Yeah I actually really like Kuai Liang as Scorpion despite how taken aback I was about it at first. Daisuke Tsuji voicing him was the cherry on top, but overall I think making Kuai Liang Scorpion was a smart way of giving us the klassic Scorpion vs Sub Zero rivalry, but also giving us more of Kuai Liang and Bi-Han's relationship. Also it seems Hanzo Hasashi is the protege of Scorpion and Smoke in the new era, if Smoke's character ending is canon.
I prefer the old versions. The new ones aren’t bad at all, I just prefer to have Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, and Hanzo.
Maybe Noob Saibot will be their father, given how much he’s referred to in the game.
Actually, in one of his interactions with Smoke(Tomas), they talk about one of the new initiatives named Hanzo.
I actually feel its perfect due to the fact kaui liang and hanzo being so identical that without their outside forces they become brothers.also im 80% sure that hanzo will most likely be "Takeda"
@@mr.raikage164 I don't know the whole story with Hanzo, but you're probably right. It all seems to be adding up that way, given the character dialogue from Kuia Liang points at Hanzo being an apprentice to him, plus the fact that the first combat pack has a character that seems to be Takeda in it. It likely is Hanzo. Though I do still get the feeling that Netherrealm is setting up Hanzo to become Noob at some point in a future game. Since Takeda is basically an alternate version of Scorpion, he makes for a cool addition as a DLC character, but not a mainstay for future games. We just don't need two Scorpions, and Hanzo would actually be perfect as Noob, since his history throughout the entire series has been all about being a vengeful ghost.

Geras tells Smoke he’s not ready for the battles ahead which can mean many things he could die by Lin Kuei or maybe the battle Geras is referring to is his mind, it just doesn’t make sense that Smoke would be possessed by a demon this time around when he literally says he learned his abilities from a Lin Kuei master unless it somehow ties in with that

If you think about it, Kuai Liang will end up being killed by Bi-Han, essentially paving the path of him becoming Noob Saibot instead while Hanzo would inherit the mantle from him, continuing the Sub-Zero and Scorpion rivalry

I like how Sindel talk about his pyromancy. Cryomancers are an edenian race that was banished to earth so sindel would be a likely person to highlight his power. Seems like there is pyromancers in addition to cryomancers in this timeline.

The new timeline is very interesting, both Shujinko and Hanzo are students of the current warriors and considered ermac is canonically now jerrod now by assumption. With Onaga coming back as well i wonder if the next games will focus more on revamping the original characters rather than bringing in new ones

I often notice that many points related to Havik are cut out. In one of the videos, where the plot of the game was shown, the fights with Havik were cut. Havik's introduction was also cut out here, leaving only quotes. Why do you dislike Havik so much? :(

Really just love Scorpion and Smoke's interactions. Scorpion was always the nice older brother to Smoke while Sub-Zero treated him like shit. It's good to see how Scorpion and Smoke will try their hardest to make sure their clan doesn't get tainted
