My how things change and standards surpassed. Back in 2010 this WOULD be considered a miracle "pro" camera. Can't wait to see what comes out in the next 10 years.
I upgraded from A6600 to FX30. That 4k 4:2:2 10 Bit puts in so much work and makes a world of difference. I bought the phantom luts and it looks insane. Very happy with my purchase.
I'm getting it as a b cam for my Fx3. And when vlog because I already own the Sony 16-55mm and Tamron 11-20. Also I think the a6600 film in 10-bit external to a recorder. I use a ninja v and I can send slog3 to the recorder and get great results.
Yeah it would be perfect for that, especially if you have apsc lenses already. I have a number of apsc lenses too, including the tameron 11-20, so it just makes sense to get this camera. Also, I didn’t know the 6600 can do 10 bit to external recorder, I’ll look into it.
Both would be great and will produce amazing images. When you take into account the lenses, the FX30 will be much cheaper. I also really like the button layout and design. Plus its smaller/lighter when you pair with APSC lens.
The apsc sensor is not an issue. This is standard for cinema. The real issue is the lack of good apsc lenses. Sure, peobably you can always adapt the gorgeous fujinon zoom lenses, but you lose AF. Otherwise, you left with the sony 18-105. F4 or tamrom 17:70 f2.8 for example. Also, for low light you can squeeze some more dynamic range with cine ei
Good point, i kinda touched on that in the video. The lenses you use are important and most people are trying to save money and have a smaller camera by going apsc. The lenses simply aren't as good as full frame, that's for sure. For myself, it's close enough for the savings in money and size of camera. Thanks for the comment & welcome to the channel.
If Sony put a 12mp sensor in the FX30 for better low light, they would never sell another FX3 or A7sIII again. I have seen some pro colorists that are saying this unit is very close to levelling the playing field.
There will be a lot of footage coming in the next week or so. The FX30 is just being delivered to most people now. This guy has posted video straight from the camera, thought it was pretty good: th-cam.com/video/Y0R0xgwGBNU/w-d-xo.html

That's so funny, the A6600 was the camera i was upgrading. Also have the phantom luts, nice!
Yep I did the same. Went from a6400 to FX30 and I am very happy. I am even happy with the low light performance.
@@seancloutier2577 Yup, absolutely great camera.

6600 can't do 10bit with ninja.
Can you guide me, do you think for social media special video which a7iv or fx30 is better?what is your opinion

You can use full frame lenses on apsc, also tons of vintage or cinema lenses to use.

Would be nice to have a va nd filter on the sensor
For sure, but price and size, don't think it's possible. Welcome to the channel!

To be honest, I have not seen great footage filmed with the FX30 from non pro reviewers. I am a bit worried! I preordered also
